Charming old cottage, just off main street in historic village center. TWO double bedrooms, plus SOFABED (in lounge) that folds down flat (sleeps one adult or two children) Quiet location, in the most stunning 'chocolate box' magical location. EAST BUDLEIGH village is where SIR WALTER RALEIGH was born (house just a mile away). There's a friendly community shop / playground / church / clear water stream and many quaint thatched-roof houses / Sir Walter Raleigh bronze STATUE and great village PUB The space GAS CENTRAL HEATING ("Vaillant" boiler), heating whole house (via radiators with TRV valves). All controlled with HIVE thermostat, (in lounge). There are back-up electric heaters present (just in case). LOUNGE has a cozy feel with cast iron fireplace, housing electric 'log-effect' fire (heater). The settee is in fact a SOFABED, it's a "click-clack" type that folds flat and will sleep one adult (or two children). DINING ROOM has a large solid wooden table and SIX dining chairs. KITCHEN has electric hob and oven, washing machine, tumble drier, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, hand blender and all equipment. (Please note that there is no dishwasher). Spacious PANTRY for your food storage. CLOAKROOM with downstairs is by the back door. BEDROOM ONE has a large and very solid 'Queen size' DOUBLE BED. Very high quality spring mattress, top-notch bedding, quilts, pillows, blankets etc. There's a wall-mounted TELEVISION and a large built-in double WARDROBE. (Hair dryer is in the chest of drawers). BEDROOM TWO has a very solid and ornate DOUBLE BED. Very high quality spring mattress, top-notch bedding, quilts, pillows, blankets etc. There's a wall-mounted TELEVISION and a large free-standing double WARDROBE. (Hair dryer is in the chest of drawers). BATHROOM is upstairs, spacious enough and has CAST IRON BATH with shower attached to the mixer taps. SHAVER SOCKET, shower curtain, high quality towels all there on the shelving unit. HALLWAY leads to the stairway, which has REDUCED HEAD HEIGHT (in two places). Adults will need to DUCK YOUR HEAD, where you see the "mind your head" sign!! GARDEN is really just the bit outside along the front and it is not enclosed. But you can enjoy your coffee and biscuits there using wooden chairs and table. But there is a more private area to the side, with green bench-seat (and small green table). It is under the side canopy and so offers some shelter. The front of this house enjoys virtually ALL DAY SUNSHINE INTERNET is provided by SKY hub, The Smart TV has all the NETFILX / YOUTUBE and so on, but also showing all FreeSat channels. (Both bedroom TVs show only FreeSat programmes). ENTRANCE ROAD outside is stoney-gravel and just fifty yards round the corner is Sir Walter Raleigh VILLAGE PUB. They serve wonderful food (most days - please check first). PARKING is only available in CAR PARK, just across the road (50 yards down HAYES LANE). Car park is FREE and you should have no problem finding a space. If it is full, just use car park by village shop (just 100 yards away). PIZZA van is every TUESDAY, in car park by the hall (serving from 5:00pm). High quality ingredients, stone fire-oven, freshly baked and highly recommended. CHURCH has BELL RINGING practice here and there, can be heard with windows open. You will also hear all the SEAGULLS as house is just over a mile to THE SEA. VILLAGE SHOP is next to the Community Hall, they are open 9am to around 6pm and have a lot to offer (including coffee, sandwiches, pastries etc). BUDLEIGH SALTERTON small seaside town just over a mile away and has small supermarkets and many high street shops etc. EXMOUTH is a larger town with large sandy beaches. Has MacDonalds / retail park / big Tesco / Aldi / hotels/ amusements / 'OCEAN' Bar/cafe/restaurant/bowling/leisure. Please note that this is a SLEEPY OLD VILLAGE and not suitable for PARTY PEOPLE. The neighbours here are all elderly, loud music/shouting etc can NOT be allowed. Please only book this accommodation if you are looking for a QUIET AND SEDATE vacation in a very peaceful and historic Olde English village community. Guest access Whole house offered here, but please remember . . . PARKING is in the FREE car park across the road (50 yards away), no parking directly outside the house. But you can stop there for a while, just for unloading luggage or shopping. No proper GARDEN as such, outside area is just along front or area to the side. House has full GAS CENTRAL HEATING. Please note that this is a SLEEPY OLD VILLAGE and not suitable for PARTY PEOPLE. The neighbours here are all elderly, loud music/shouting etc can NOT be allowed. This house is great for people planning to tour and explore the area, the position is perfect for exploring EAST DEVON and beyond!
