Roaches Bunkhouse is nestled amidst stunning natural beauty, our spacious and comfortable lodgings are ideal for family reunions, group retreats, or special celebrations. The area offers endless walking and climbing routes for you to explore with local pubs and amenities just a stone's throw away. The newly refurbished lodge can accommodate 25 guests in cosy bunk style beds. The space The newly refurbished Peak Lodge sleeps up to 25 people in cosy bunk style beds across 5 bedrooms. The bunkhouse offers large lounge area with tv and dining tables to fit all guests, large fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms plus disabled and upstairs toilets, outdoor patio area with heated drying cupboard for wet kit on those rainy days. The lodge is set in the quaint hamlet of Upper Hulme at the foot of the spectacular Roaches in the Peak District National Park. The area boasts beautiful scenery and offers endless walking and climbing routes for you to explore making it the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Plus, with local pubs and amenities just a stone's throw away, you’ll find everything you need for a memorable stay. Ye olde Rock Inn is a 5 minute walk and serve fabulous food and there are lots more local country pubs serving fantastic food along with the local market town of Leek which boasts lots of fabulous independent shops and markets and has a up and coming music scene with local artists playing in pubs around. There are also many local activities such as climbing, axe throwing, shereing, canoeing, paddle boarding, spas, brewery's, climbing wall, Pak Wildlife Park, Alton Towers, Tittesworth Water, Rudyard Lake, Pooles Cavern, Go Ape and much more which we are happy to recommend. Roaches Bunkhouse is historically a bunkhouse which is the reason we have kept the name and although the beds are still in a similar bunk style, it is so much more since being refurbished in 2025 with stunning décor and a lovely space for spending time with friends and family. The bunkhouse is made up of 2 lodges, Stanley's Rest and Peak Lodge which can be booked together and combined via an interconnecting tunnel to make 1 large lodge sleeping up to 34 people across 7 bedrooms. We are happy to host Hen/Stag/ birthday parties however we do ask these guests to book both of our lodges for these kind of stays so other guests are not disturbed. Please message before booking.
