Spitskop Plaashuis With magnificent views over the valley towards the town of Lydenburg, Spitskop is ideal for guests needing to break away from the hustle of city life. This beautiful upmarket, semi double storey home offers a working farm experience with goats, sheep, donkeys and chickens roaming around. Although there is no fishing at Spitskop, this venue is perfect for hiking, cycling, reading, cooking and of course relaxing! Great fun to be had in the farm dam during those hot summers. The space Spitskop has three, north facing living rooms, each with its own Jet-master fireplace. The spacious living areas are ideal for entertainment. With a dining room that seats 10 guests, to the huge veranda with undercover braai, potjie-facilities and table seating for 12 people, Spitskop caters for the bigger families with ease. DSTV with dual view is available in 2 sitting rooms. A private study is also available for guests. There are 2 automated garages with direct entry to the house. The sunny patios are perfect for morning coffee to evening sundowners. The well-equipped open plan kitchen has a microwave, fridge-freezer, 2 electric ovens, a gas oven and a gas hob. There is also a separate scullery with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. All 5 bedrooms are North facing and opens onto a veranda. The 2 en-suite bedrooms have king sized beds while the remaining 3 bedrooms have twin beds. Top quality beds and bedding are used throughout the house. There are 3 full bathrooms, 2 of which are en suite. Each bedroom has a hair dryer as well as additional blankets. This house is serviced, except on Sundays. Excellent security with electric fence, beams, alarm and armed response. A collection of books is available for reading at your leisure. Firewood is provided on arrival; guests can buy more at the farm. Fire side blankets are provided. The huge fenced garden has swings for children.
