Pony Cube Cottage is located in Middleham in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Our cosy cottage sleeps four and is perfect for walkers, cyclists, pub lovers and sightseers. With four great pubs just a minute away and stunning countryside walks from the doorstep, you can park up, relax, and enjoy Dales life. Wonderfully equipped, warm and welcoming, the cottage offers cosy comfort in an unbeatable location — perfect for exploring the landscapes that inspired James Herriot and the beloved Yorkshire Dales. 🐎 A Unique Racing Village Middleham is famous for its racehorse heritage — with 15 trainers based in the town. Each morning you can watch strings of racehorses making their way to the gallops just 0.3 miles from the cottage. It’s a truly special sight you won’t find anywhere else. 🛋 The Living Space Step through the front door into a warm and inviting lounge featuring: Three-seat sofa & two-seat sofa Open fire (logs available locally) Smart TV Books & family board games Remote-control lamps for cosy evenings Washing machine discreetly housed in cupboard (please bring detergent) This is the perfect space to unwind after a day walking in the Dales. 🍳 Fully Equipped Kitchen The well-appointed kitchen includes: Double oven & four-ring hob Dishwasher Microwave, toaster & kettle Air fryer & slow cooker Record player (please keep volume respectful for neighbours) Dining table seats four (two additional chairs stored in lounge cupboard). The back door leads directly to the enclosed garden. 🌿 Enclosed Garden & Storage Private enclosed garden with seating for four Bench cushions stored in shed Left-hand outhouse available for muddy boots or bicycles (bring your own padlock) Perfect after a long countryside walk. 🛏 Upstairs Upstairs you’ll find: Two comfortable bedrooms Towels laid out ready for your stay Suitcase racks under each bed Family bathroom with shower Everything designed for a relaxed, comfortable stay. 🐾 Dog Friendly Dogs are very welcome throughout the cottage. We simply ask: Please keep them off beds and furniture Dry and clean them after muddy Dales adventures The garden is enclosed, but please supervise pets at all times. 🚗 Free Parking There is space outside for unloading (tight for larger vehicles). Please just let us know as soon as possible if anything is broken or heavily soiled. Guest access You will have sole and private access to the entire property for you to enjoy. Other things to note The front area of the cottage is cobbled. Please take care during wet conditions as cobbles can become slippery. Our property is very old and the staircase is steeper than an average house stair, although there is a fitted handrail to one side. Please note that the wiring system is not suitable for charging electric vehicles. Attempting to charge an electric vehicle will cause power outage and incur reconnection charges. There is no EV charging point at this property however there are several places locally where you can charge an electric vehicle.
