Renovated by a landscape architect and stylist, it blends Tuscan warmth with coastal charm, featuring hand-rendered walls, reclaimed timber, and marble accents. The gardens boast a fountain, fire pit, and a 10-meter outdoor kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven. Friendly farm animals complete this idyllic retreat. With its rustic charm, Mediterranean soul, and deep connection to history, this farmhouse offers the ideal setting to unwind, connect, and find your rhythm. Accessibility & Children: Our farmhouse offers a character-filled stay, but it may not be suitable for everyone. The property has uneven surfaces, steps, and narrow doorways, which could be challenging for those with limited mobility. Families with young children should also be mindful of open staircases and unfenced outdoor areas. We recommend considering these factors before booking to ensure our space is the right fit for your needs. The Surrounding region: Set amidst rolling countryside, our farmhouse is perfectly positioned to access the region’s natural beauty. Pristine beaches are just 10 minutes away, where you can swim, surf, or relax by the shore. Bellingen, just 30 minutes away, offers vibrant markets, boutique shops, and a thriving arts scene. Dorrigo rainforest sits an hour away and endless stunning coastline stretches north and south. Whether you're looking to adventure or relax, this location offers the best of both coast and hinterland. Convenience at Your Doorstep: For convenience, supermarkets are just 10 minutes away, or if you prefer, groceries can be delivered for a hassle-free stay. Fresh, local produce can be found at the Nambucca Growers' Market every Thursday afternoon, where you can pick up seasonal produce and artisanal goods while supporting local farmers. Local tips: For a laid-back meal, Matilda’s in Nambucca serves world-class pizza just a short drive away. For a cocktail, head to Sawtell for a stylish bar scene, or enjoy a high-end dining experience in Bellingen for a special night out. Only 5 hours from Sydney and 4.5 hours from Brisbane, it’s the perfect halfway point for a road trip. Whether you’re heading north or south, it’s a peaceful rural escape that’s perfect for breaking up your drive or meeting up with friends and family in the middle. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire house, outdoor kitchen and dining areas, as well as the firepit, ensuring a private and comfortable stay. The parking area is shared with others on the property, as it’s part of a working farm, and there will be people around tending to the animals and maintaining the property. While you’ll have your own space to relax and enjoy, please note that the farm operates daily, so you may encounter us or caretakers during your stay. We ask that you respect their work and enjoy the experience of being on a vibrant, working property. Other things to note Our farmhouse embraces its rustic charm, so things aren’t always perfect, and that's part of its appeal. The house and property have a lived-in character, with weathered textures, quirky details, and a patina that tells the story of its history. From original pine white washed floors to antique furniture, everything adds to the unique personality of the space. While we strive to maintain the property, please understand that the imperfections are part of what makes this place special, offering an authentic, relaxed experience where you can truly unwind and connect with nature. Our renovations have been extensive, with a focus on sustainability and preserving the property's character. We’ve used almost entirely recycled materials, giving new life to old wood, stone, and other resources that would otherwise go to waste. This approach not only helps reduce our environmental footprint but also adds a unique, timeworn beauty to the space. Each renovation choice reflects our commitment to sustainability while maintaining the farmhouse’s rustic charm, blending the old with the new in a thoughtful and eco-conscious way. It might seem counterintuitive, but we’ve deliberately embraced the old over the new in many areas of our renovation. For example, we replaced modern doors with 100-year-old cedar doors and windows to add character and soul to the space. We also swapped out the clean, tidy melamine kitchen for an unfitted, rustic farmhouse kitchen that feels more in tune with the history of the house. One of our favourite moments during the renovation was stepping back after rendering the house pink—a colour we mixed ourselves, inspired by the stunning sunset skies we love so much. The garden is still a work in progress, constantly evolving as we add new plants and subtract (mainly weeds!). The old farm Hills Hoist we stumbled upon secondhand has become a prized possession, and our veggie beds are made from repurposed old cow hay feeders, bringing a bit of farm history into our own food production. Every detail, from the materials to the design, reflects our love for the land and our commitment to sustainability. Registration Details PID-STRA-77544
