Cabin near the lake 45 min from Oslo

A holiday in Fuglevik can quickly become a lifelong relationship. It's easy to fall in love with this easily accessible, yet so peaceful and well-established cabin area by the fjord. Here the boats in the marina sing and both young and old have a great time. It is a beautiful cultural landscape in the area and a place for enjoyment and peace of mind. Autumn has magical light and the most beautiful sunsets. It is magical to celebrate Christmas and New Year down here. This year we went skiing across Årefjorden and the spring is magical with white snow and deer. The space The cabin is well suited for year-round use with water-based underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. We are developing the property continuously and in February 2024 solar panels were installed. Last year, a new terrace with seating area was built. The place is intimate enough for one person and smartly divided into zones, a spacious loft and large plot so up to 6 adults and two small/light on the sofa bed will have a great stay. The sofa bed is not recommended for adults. First floor: all-room with extra large ceiling height, visible beams and some fun ceiling lamps (we think ;), a living room with sofa and two armchairs, as well as a bamboo chaise longue. Dining table and chairs for 8 people. Kitchen partially open with all the equipment and basic goods we normally have. We are here a lot ourselves all year round. There is boiling water right from the tap (Grohe). Oven, stove, fridge/freezer. There is no microwave. There is a bathroom with shower, sink, washing machine and dryer. Siemens quiet. There is a separate toilet with sink. Two of the bedrooms are located on the 1st floor. There are stairs up to the loft. It's steeper than a house staircase. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed 150 cm and sliding door wardrobe with wire baskets and clothes rack with many clothes hangers. Bedroom 2 has two separate beds that can be put together if you wish. This is facing south, has two dressers, a shelf with a clothes rail and clothes hangers as well as two coat racks. On the outside of the house wall there is a 40x60 cm converter for the new solar cell system. At the time of writing it is not connected yet, it will emit a faint sound when active. Particularly noise-sensitive people are advised to choose one of the other rooms, just in case. The loft is spacious with two sections. These are separated by a doorway and a light curtain. Part 1: In one part there are two separate beds at each end of the room. There is a cabinet with baskets for clothes by each bed as well as a coat rack. One of the beds has a built-in "secret room"/bedside table. The second is partially hidden with a partition wall. Here there is a small "peek" window towards the stairs and neighboring rooms. There are two windows with child protection, Part 2 has an office space with a slanted window, TV bench/chest of drawers with games, table, sofa bed and 2 armchairs. A nice youth section. The TV is currently in the living room downstairs. We can move this up on request if desired. There is a new Velux roof window and a larger window from floor to ceiling down towards the living room. There is child protection, but it is not perceived as particularly strong in relation to much weight. So please be aware of this. The cabin has a one-acre plot, partly natural plot. On the terrace there is a fireplace, barbecue, dining table that can be pulled out in length. 8 pcs 5-pkt chairs and two sun beds. There is a frisbee, badminton and kubb game as well as a couple of beach chairs and sun mattresses in the storage boxes. Inside there are various games and lots of books. There is a hammock between the trees in the garden during summer. There are at least 4 beaches/rocks to swim from as well as a marina with a restaurant with simple service, wine/beer and ice cream, as well as some bathing toys. The nearest beach is straight down and to the right. About 400 meters. Long ground. Beyond the marina there are stairs from the rock and further away there is a public beach as well as more rocks in front of Fuglevik Camping. If you turn left you will first come to the "middle beach" gravel beach hidden behind the rose bushes and if you go to the end of Strandveien you can wade out to the "skjæret". Here there are bathing stairs on the outside. There is a great cultural landscape in the area, marked trails and the nearest farm is beautiful Ekeby farm with farm brewery. Here there is beer and soda sales in the brewery house. They often have some African goats walking outside. In 2024, ski slopes were run over the fields and out along Årefjorden for several weeks. It was magical! The farm opened the brewery loft on Sundays with hot chocolate and waffle sales. We hope for more white winters with magical landscapes. The light is magical in late autumn and May/June is the best time, while the sea often reaches 21 degrees in August. Edvard Munch lived at Nedre Ramme farm and painted several of his great works here. It is located in Hvitsten, a beautiful place worth a visit. At the end of Jeløya, drive over the bridge in Moss city center, you will find the beautiful Rød gård with small shops and craftsmen, glass blowers, cultural landscape and restaurant. Tip: go from here to Gallery F15. A great little trip. Gallery F15 is very well known in Norway and Alby kringla should be tasted here. Excellent place to start a short or small hike in beautiful old forest. The farm in Råde is 45 min away with an open farm, farm cafe and various farm animals you can pet and play with. Badeland is about 1 hour south and there are three shopping malls in and around Moss. In Moss, a walk in the new district with the large elephants located in the north over the bridge is recommended. A nice mix of very old and very modern buildings with a great beachside. But have lunch at the beautiful cafe Nobel in a beautiful old building. It is located around the corner just before the pedestrian street on the way back. Stroll through the pedestrian street and you will come to a beautiful church with an eldorado for families with children with an open very good playground as well as cafes next door. Guest access You have the entire property to yourself. Other things to note There is an electric car charger at the parking lot. Electricity is settled according to consumption. Our standard Wi-Fi subscription is included. Usage above that will be charged. We recommend that you download movies before you arrive.
