A very charming house + ADU on a pond in lovely and safe Saluda, NC. Easy walking distance to downtown Saluda yet still feels very quiet, peaceful, private. So much flexibility with this property: I currently have the main house configured as a 1BR/2.5BA space with multiple living rooms, but it could easily be reconfigured as a 2BR/2.5BA house; meanwhile there's a separate fully permitted ADU (the little house) that is essentially a 380 sq ft studio though it feels much larger. Outside the front of the house there is a beautifully landscaped patio with wrought-iron table and chairs. Little house: When you enter the small kitchen is to your right; there's a fridge, oven/stove, cabinets, and sink. To the left when you walk in is a nice full bathroom with walk-in shower. There is a bistro table and 2 chairs situated next to large windows just beyond the kitchen. A bed and end tables like beyond that, and next to the sleeping area is a love seat that folds out into a bed and a large smart tv. There is a ship ladder that goes up to a loft area that offers ample storage space. Outside the little house has its own private patio area with benches, wrought-iron table and chairs, and a fire pit. The location and the bucolic pond setting are a magical combination. Saluda is 35 min from Asheville and about 12-20 min from Flat Rock and Hendersonville.
