Retreat from your busy life; step into The Farm House and fall in love with a meticulously restored home with original floors and beams, soothed by the radiant heat and stunned by the valley views. Between Afton and Bainbridge , 30 minutes from Binghamton, there are plenty of good restaurants and activities. The space This mid-1800's Farm House boasts original art, an open floor plan, with a kitchen for cooking: granite island; black walnut counters; large selection of cooking items. And for special occasions, silver and crystal. Every season brings its own joys. On winter evenings, turn on the electric fire and enjoy the original art or board games. Or go out to spot the constellations and hear the owls. With 45 acres of well maintained pastures, trails and a stocked pond there's lots of exploring to do. Wildlife and birds abound from deer to coyotes and bluebirds to hawks. Our beautiful Farm House is a two story home. Please note the original stairs still stay in tact and some consider them a bit steep. On the main floor you'll find our gorgeous kitchen, living and dining area plus a bathroom with a clawfoot tub (no shower downstairs). Upstairs contains 3 bedrooms - 1 Queen, 1 Full, 1 Bunkbed room and a bathroom containing a standup shower. Our space welcomes your pets as well! Please note, there is a pet fee of $50 collected upon arrival Guest access There are three listings to the Mills Farm Retreat that can be rented separately or all together for a large group. I Mills Farm Retreat (the main 3 bedroom Farm House); II Mills Farm Guest Quarters (which shows as the red-roofed part of the L-shaped building, a studio apartment with 1 Queen bed, full kitchen, and bath); III Mills Farm Camper (Full kitchen, bath and Queen bed). The Farm House and Guest Quarters are connected to one another via the garage, although have separate entrances and total privacy from one another. If you're interested in renting all 3 spaces together, please inquire within. Other things to note Winter guests: If you're coming up from the City or anywhere south, don't forget that it's often colder up here with more snow (which makes for scenic landscapes and great cuddling!). And let us know if you need snow shoes since we don't leave them on the property. If you bring a snowmobile you're in great luck because the property is on the NY Snowmobile trail.
