Private Bedroom In Southside With Cats & Breakfast
Private Bedroom In Southside With Cats & Breakfast
Description
Welcome to my home in Glasgow’s Southside! Just a 3-min walk to Queen’s Park station, with trains to Central in 10 mins and direct buses to the West End. Great local pubs and restaurants nearby – The Bell Jar, Rose Reilly, Lobo, and Errol’s – and Queen’s Park is under 5 mins away, perfect for a stroll. You’ll be sharing with me – I live in the flat full time and am likely to be around a lot – and my two friendly cats, Alfie and Isla, who are always up for a good cuddle. The space I love meeting new people and sharing my favourite spots in Glasgow, so I’ve opened up my spare room to guests. It’s a great way to make use of the extra space while offering you a cosy place to stay. The flat is a three-bedroom tenement on the third floor. You’ll have your own private room, and although the building’s on a main road, the room is very quiet as it overlooks the garden. The kitchen gets the morning sun and is a lovely place to enjoy a coffee while my cats lounge by the window, watching the birds outside. For breakfast, I offer a selection of yoghurt, homemade granola, porridge, fresh fruit, homemade sourdough bread, and a variety of jams and spreads. You’re welcome to help yourself or cook your own breakfast - everything is easy to find thanks to mostly open shelving. If I’m around, I’ll set things up for you, but if not, the house manual will guide you. As with many old tenements, there’s no lift, so you’ll need to climb several flights of stairs to reach the flat - something to keep in mind if you have mobility concerns. A quick heads-up: I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re not a fan of cats. They’re sweet and sociable, but they like to jump on everything, love a good meow, and despite thorough hoovering between each stay, some cat hair is bound to linger. If you're driving, there’s paid parking on my street, but plenty of free parking just a few minutes away on nearby side streets - I’m happy to recommend the best spots. Guest access You’ll have your own private bedroom. The room is very quiet and has a lock on the inside for privacy. It features a comfortable double bed with bedside lighting on both sides. Blinds and curtains ensure a good sleep, even on the sunniest Glasgow mornings. You’ll also have access to: • A shared kitchen, where you’re welcome to use anything you need, including the washing machine. I provide teas, coffee and milk. • A shared bathroom, with a toilet, a rain shower, and a bathtub. I provide fresh towels and shower gel. • A cosy living room, where you can watch TV, listen to music, read a book, or just relax by the log burner. During your stay I always try to welcome guests in person, as I prefer to meet you personally. However, if I’m unavailable due to work or other commitments, there’s a lockbox for easy self-check-in. Check-in is flexible depending on other bookings - just let me know your preferred arrival time, and I’ll do my best to accommodate it. You’ll find a detailed house manual with instructions for everything you might need - WiFi, the coffee machine, heating, and more. You’ll likely see me around the flat, but if I’m out and you need anything, just send me a message - I’ll do my best to help! I’m always happy to chat and share recommendations, but if you prefer more privacy, I’ll follow your lead.
