Nestled beside the stunning National Trust property Barrington Court, Hectors House is a charming, dog friendly retreat in the heart of the conservation village of Barrington. Surrounded by chocolate box stone and thatched cottages and rolling countryside, it's a true walkers paradise for both people and their four legged companions. Whether you are stopping over en-route to the West Country or discovering the area for the first time, you’ll be amazed by the beautiful landscape. The space Hectors house is a peaceful newly renovated 3 bedroom detached rustic barn conversion. Located away from busy roads yet in the heart of the village. With the owners living just next door you can be assured that if you needed help it's never far away. Offering 1 king size bed (upstairs bedroom 1); 1 super king sized bed configurable as two singles (bedroom 3 downstairs) and 1 double bed (bedroom 2 upstairs) Open plan lounge/dining/kitchen with electric (wood burner style) stove, 55in smart TV and Sonos. Upstairs minstrel gallery with seating ideal for reading or working. Free fast Wifi is available throughout the property. 2 bathrooms upstairs and cloakroom downstairs. (Towels are provided) Separate entrance and off street parking for 2 cars maximum. (Owner parks one car on the driveway), sorry electric car charging is not available at our property. Fully fenced cottage garden overlooking fields. Hot and cold dog wash to pamper your pooches (please bring your own dog towels and shampoo) Please note mobile signal on all networks in the village is poor, WiFi in the barn will allow WiFi calling, iMessage etc. Tea, coffee, sugar & milk, butter, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar are provided as well as a welcome gift basket. Guest access Hectors House is a detached barn which is within the grounds of the owners cottage. Access via separate dedicated entrance, the driveway is large and shared with the owners cottage (owner parks one car) Please note two parking spaces only are allocated for Hectors House Airbnb on our driveway. Cars are parked at the owners risk and we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your vehicles or their contents. If you are bringing an extra car could we please ask that you let us know so we can advise on the best possible place to park on Water Street. The driveway and accommodation entrance is monitored by CCV TV for your peace of mind. Other things to note Hectors House is situated next to the grounds of National Trust property Barrington Court, a Tudor Mansion which featured as a filming location for Wolf Hall and Lucy Wordsley’s Six Wives. Other NT properties are close by including Montecute House and Lytes Cary Manor. The village is a walkers paradise surrounded by public footpaths with walks to nearby villages. The village gastro pub The Barrington Boar & bakery is a short walk as is the nearby Duke of York in neighbouring village of Shepton Beauchamp.
