Hidden among olive groves in the village of Agios Dimitrios, Into the Wild Lab is a simple and evolving space where nature, creativity, and everyday island life come together. Nestled beside a small river and surrounded by trees, the property is located just 950 meters from the main road. The access road is unpaved but suitable for ordinary vehicles. The property includes two traditional stone houses. One is available as a private accommodation, while the other offers shared living with four single beds and a private bedroom, welcoming individuals, couples, families, and small groups. Into the Wild Lab was created by Mehdi, who found a home on Ikaria after leaving Iran. What began as a personal search for belonging gradually evolved into a space shared with others. Today, the project continues to grow through hospitality, creativity, nature, and the simple act of bringing people together around everyday life. Life here moves at a different rhythm. Guests are welcome to share meals, walk through forests and vineyards, swim in rivers, learn practical skills, exchange stories, join activities, or simply enjoy the quiet. Some come to rest, some come to explore, and others come to participate in daily life around the land and the community. You may meet our animal companions along the way, including our cats and dog, who are part of the atmosphere of the place.
