Relax and recharge at this beautifully restored 1950s beach cottage, literally a four minute stroll from the golden sands of world-famous Pebbly Beach. This off-grid couple's retreat encompasses old-world charm and modern convenience...no TV, internet or phone reception but everything you need for a comfortable, restful break. Situated in the heart of Murramarang National Park, the property is surrounded by magnificent forest. The sun provides power, rain provides the water. Truly unique. The space Alexander's Cottage is a clean, airy, light-filled open-plan layout with an easy flow between the rooms and the outdoors. Simple yet elegant. Situated on a freehold block within Murramarang National Park, this 1950s cottage has been lovingly restored, maintaining its original character while adding modern conveniences to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Indoors consists of one bedroom (comfortable Queen bed), large bathroom, toilet, living room, kitchen and dining area. The well-equipped kitchen contains a 4-burner gas cooktop, microwave oven, refrigerator, all cooking utensils, electric jug, toaster and complimentary tea (bags), coffee (instant), salt, pepper, cooking oil, kitchen paper etc Large bifold doors lead onto a spacious undercover outdoor deck (this is a favourite chill-out spot). A versatile Weber gas barbeque is situated on the deck. The property is totally off-grid. Ceiling fans provide a cooling breeze, a ducted gas heater provides wonderful warmth in winter. Rainwater is harvested in a large on-site tank...we love it but if drinking natural water is an issue please either bring bottled water with you or boil and cool the tankwater before drinking. PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE. You will be visited during your stay by an assortment of wildlife. Kangaroos, wallabies, possums and goannas are regular visitors. Birds including bower birds, kookaburras, finches, lyrebirds, cockatoos, magpies and the stunning Superb Fairywren frequent the grounds. NOTE THAT PETS ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN AT ALEXANDER'S COTTAGE. Other things to note Note that there is no internet, WiFi or mobile phone coverage in the area. We have no TV, washing machine, oven or hairdryer due to totally relying on solar for power.
