Description

In the old garden of our Eifel farmhouse, a historic circus wagon looks forward to its guests. We have restored the 8 meter long and 2.5 meter wide larch wood trailer with a lot of love for detail, expanded it and furnished it comfortably to match our quarry stone house in a combination of nostalgic Eifel charm and French country house style. For people who are in the mood for an extraordinary break in a special atmosphere, the circus wagon is just the thing! The space The circus wagon in the old garden is at the beginning of a small Eifel village nestled in a picturesque landscape. The property is a favorite place for 1 - 3 people who are in the mood for an exclusive Get away in a special atmosphere. Enjoy nostalgic country house charm, slow down, hike, walk, cycle, cycle around Eifelmaare, discover the small nearby half-timbered village of Monreal, enjoy the land, garden and nature around the property, as well as experience the clear eager starry sky. All of this and more is possible here! The old larch wood wagon is framed by our farmhouse built around 1880 (house name Baure), the old garden, a field , the village road and fruit trees . Above our 500 sqm property, a short path leads from the village road to a small wooden gate, behind which the circus wagon is hidden. Outdoor terrace: If you pass the gate, you will see a small garden area on the right, equipped with a nostalgic beer garden set, a grill and deckchairs. This area is exclusively available to the guests of the circus wagon and is separated from the field, our house and the neighboring house by a staket fence. Wagenterrasse: The covered, original preserved wagon terrace overlooking the field offers an idyllic place to have breakfast. Living: The heart of the wagon is a cozy, spacious living space, furnished with old finds and antique treasures. This creates a cozy place to eat, play, relax and tell from the chest bench, drawer kitchen table, Windsor chair, ear chair and wood stove. Work Desk: Opposite the oven, there is a desk made from an old shutter. This is equipped with ample bakelite sockets and can even be used as a home office space thanks to a good wifi. Kitchen: Extensively equipped with space providing work surface, ceramic sink, two hotplates, nostalgic-style oven, spacious refrigerator with small freezer, toaster, kettle, French press, stirrer and hand blender makes cooking and baking a lot of joy even in the smallest space. A selection of spices, oil, sugar, tea, and coffee is also available. Bedroom: The bedroom overlooking the field is separated from the living space by an original preserved sliding door. Inside is a self-designed and built double bed unit (140 x 200) for two people with sleeping berth above (75 x 200) for a child or another mobile person. The built-in closet offers space for jackets, clothes and travel bag with compartment, hooks and clothes rail. A side table, equipped with games and magazines, provides variety on rainy days. Cuddling in the pillows in the evening and watching a movie comfortably is also possible thanks to the smart TV. Baths: On the opposite side, the bathroom integrated into the wagon is also separated from the living room by a sliding door. With a toilet, a dresser converted into a vanity, and a shower tiled with Italian tiles and a nostalgic faucet, the bathroom offers the highest comfort in the smallest space. Record players and internet radio: A special evening becomes a little more special due to appropriate music. Not only is an internet radio in the retro design available in the circus wagon, but there is also an original suitcase disc from 1957 waiting to make a vinyl disc sound. Guest access Separate entrance: Above our property, a short path leads from the village street to a small wooden gate, behind which the circus wagon is hidden. An iron staircase leads to the wagon terrace and there is the entrance door of the circus wagon. Other things to note Guest interaction and check-in We live in the farmhouse across the street from the circus wagon. For a relaxed and flexible arrival, check-in is via a key box. We like to greet our guests personally during their stay, but otherwise keep ourselves in the background. We are very available for questions and insider tips. Supply: Ditscheid is a small village and is located a little out of the way without a supermarket or bakery. That's why it's a good idea to stop at a supermarket in Mayen or Kaiserseschas on the way there to provide yourself with food. And if you only want to do a small shopping, you can simply drive to the Edekamarkt in Üersfeld, 10 minutes away by car from the circus wagon. In the shop there is also a very good butcher + bakery. Bunk bed above the double bed The bed bunk (75x200) is suitable for a child or a mobile adult. For guests with young children, we are happy to install a safety gate on request. Minimum stay: 2 nights. On holiday weekends: 3 nights
