There is also a lean-to, fireplace and volleyball net. 600 m from the residence there is a lighted cross-country ski trail, artificial grass pitch and frisbee golf course. Otherwise, many nice hiking trails nearby. Great conditions for cross-country skiing and slalom at Vestvatn Alpine Resort just 30 minutes away. There are also prepared ski slopes on Beiarfjellet. Beiarfjellet also offers nice hiking trails in summer/autumn. Dog sledding is offered both at Vestvatn and Beiarfjellet at Arictic Husky/Saltenguidene. Distance to Bodø Golf Club approx. 40 min and Salten Golf Club approx. 1h 10 min. Grocery store in Misvær (23 min) and in Saltstraumen (30 min). Check out the website for "Kulturveien" for information about experiences in the area, and "nyebodo" for great mountain trips. Saltstraumen (the world's strongest tidal current) is 30 minutes away. The Skjerstad area offers a varied and rich hunting terrain, especially known for small game hunting. There are 47 fishing waters in Skjerstad and Misvær area.
