Description

Villa Kokotia stands out! Located on the wild dune of Diembering, facing the ocean, bordered by rice fields, this exceptional natural setting of 15,000 m2 is both close to Cap Skirring and preserved from its hustle and bustle. It's a haven of peace filled with birdsong, the sound of waves, and beautiful sunsets. Its 9x3 private pool, poolside terrace and private bar (drinks for sale) offer all the ingredients for a successful vacation! The space On the living room side: 1 kitchen, 1 living room, and a terrace naturally ventilated by the sweet trade winds. Night side: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, and an outdoor shower. Bonus: The permanent trade winds of the waterfront are a natural and effective barrier against heat waves and mosquitoes. Outside, new 9x3 swimming pool, private bar and large terrace on which you can have breakfast and dinner! Guest access Access to the villa is via a track that ends with a 900 m stretch on the beach. We provide our 4x4 pickup truck driven only by the staff of the house, approved for 9 people, to facilitate your travel to Cap Skirring. Trips are to be paid directly to the driver. Taxi fare to go to Cape Skirring 5000 CFA round trip. Other things to note Villa Kokotia is a self-sufficient property, meaning that we produce our own solar electricity and draw our water on the land thanks to a borehole and a pump. Living in self-consumption is quite possible in Casamance, it is also a healthy and ecological way of life, based on a reasoned use of resources. Living without counting is not possible without impacting resources. Thus, life in self-consumption allows you to live quite comfortably (shower with pressure, hot water, light, laundry machine, 4G+ Wifi, etc.) while becoming aware of the limits of each resource. Staying in Kokotia means committing to turning off the light behind you, using hot water as a precious commodity, and also learning to live with the sun (production is surplus from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on battery from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.). By living this in a pedagogical and playful way, a new and very enriching experience emerges.
