Unwind in this unique and peaceful place to stay. You can still see traces of the building’s past as a grain storehouse from the mid-1800s — like the wide floorboards upstairs. When it was carefully turned into a home in the 2000s, the old loading openings were turned into bay windows to let in more light and offer a view, all while keeping the original timber frame intact. On the farm, you'll find a dog and some friendly sheep, and free-range chickens. Around the back, there’s a garden area with evening sun that you’re also welcome to enjoy. Other things to note Important: The house is located on a farm with fur-bearing animals. The guest is responsible for cleaning. Getting around: Want to skip driving into the city? The farm is just 20 minutes from Hallsberg train station and 15 minutes from Kumla train station. You can park at Kumla station and take the train to central Örebro — the ride takes about 15 minutes. Prefer to head to Stockholm? From Hallsberg, the train journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Shops & Services: Pålsboda is about 5 minutes away and has an grocery store and a couple of pizzerias. Kumla and Hallsberg are around 15 minutes away and offer a wider range of supermarkets and restaurants. Central Örebro is a 20–25 minute drive and has everything you’d expect from a mid-sized city. Things to do nearby: The area around the farm offers marked cycling routes, especially suited for mountain biking, as well as nice walking trails. Looking for more of a challenge? Head to Kvarntorpshögen, just a few minutes away — a local outdoor area with a long staircase leading to the top. Once there, you can enjoy a coffee at the hilltop café, take in the sweeping views over the Närke plains, or visit Konst på Hög, an open-air sculpture park featuring around 30 works by well-known artists. Guided tours are available from April 1st to September 30th. In the winter, the hill becomes a ski slope. Next to the outdoor area is Kumla Golf Club. In summer, the golf restaurant serves a lunch buffet — weekdays from 11 AM to 2 PM, and weekends from 9 AM to 3 PM. Swimming & Leisure: Just 5 minutes away by car is Hästhagsbrottet in Hällabrottet — a family-friendly swimming spot that’s regularly inspected by the municipality. There’s also a nearby restaurant "Egastronomi" if you feel like grabbing a bite. Kumla, Hallsberg & Örebro: In Kumla (about 15 minutes away), you'll find the city park and the Djupadalsbadet swimming area. In summer, you can enjoy mini golf, disc golf, padel, boules, beach volleyball, or go for a swim. The facility includes an indoor adventure pool, water slides, and outdoor pools. The park also features walking paths and Sjöparken’s Greenhouse, open year-round, with a winter garden, orangeries, and a restaurant. In Örebro: Örebro’s city park is a beautiful green space with something for everyone — playgrounds, a rose garden, greenhouses with a café and shop, and scenic walking paths along the Svartån river. Right next to the park is Wadköping, an open-air museum where history meets the present. This charming area is home to old wooden buildings, shops, cafés, exhibitions, and small museums. On the other side of the park you’ll find Örebro Castle — a living cultural landmark offering exhibitions and guided tours for both adults and children.
