Description
Other things to note My guesthouse is located at Pfaffenhofen/Ilm in the heart of the Holledau. In our landscape, 40 kilometers north of Munich, there are very many hills, with beautiful valleys and wide views over the landscape. Many hiking trails and also part of the Camino de Santiago leads through the district of Pfaffenhofen. It passes by idyllic villages, past churches and chapels as well as hop gardens. Close by is Herrnrast, framed by forests, fields and hiking trails. There are also smaller lakes, such as the Kranzberger Weiher near Allershausen. In Pfaffenhofen there is also an outdoor swimming pool, an ice stadium and a climbing hall PAFRock. In my hometown Ilmmünster there is within walking distance the bakery Wörmann, which is open from 5:45 am and the butchery Summerer, which is still slaughtering itself. In addition, there is a Croatian economy of the Fischerwirt, a savings bank and a net market on the outskirts of the village. The nearest train station is in Reichertshausen/Ilm, about 2km away or in Pfaffenhofen/Ilm, about 5km away. Hourly trains run here to/from Nuremberg or Ingolstadt and Munich. Both cities are about 40 km from Ilmmünster, Ingolstadt in the north accessible via the b13 or the a9, our state capital Munich to the south. Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm is worth living in! In 2011, the city with around 24,000 inhabitants won the Live Award and can call itself the most liveable city in the world according to the annual award. There is a weekly market on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the morning on the main square, which was redesigned for the State Garden Show 2017 and is framed by beautiful shops and cafe. Strolling, Latte Macchiato, eating out is possible here. There is also a cinema, the Cineradoples and a bowling alley on the outskirts for bad weather days. The town of Pfaffenhofen and the surrounding area also culturally have a cultural offer. From the hop museum in Wolnzach to the Scheyern Monastery with monastery taverns and beer garden or the art in the estate event twice a year to the Christmas market.
