Summer cottage in a Scenic location Karlsborg

Charming cottage near Botttensjön - perfect for relaxing and adventure. Here you stay in a quiet and scenic environment close to swimming, nature, shops, restaurants and attractions (Tiveden, Karlsborg Fortress, Götakanal) About this place Living space of 66 sqm, fully furnished, three rooms with a kitchen that has a dishwasher. There is a wood-burning stove in the living room. The bathroom has a shower cabin and washing machine. On the property, there is a guest house that sleeps four. There is a separate wood-fired sauna (time is booked with the host). The space The summer cottage has two bedrooms as you can see on the pictures. In the living room there is a sofa bed with place for two people. Duvets, pillows and mattress topper are in the sofa bed storage area. The guest house has two bunk beds with a total of four beds. The summer cottage has a larger terrace with outdoor furniture, deck chairs and a charcoal grill where you can enjoy home-cooked food. Guest access There's a nice sauna that you can use but you need to book it through the landlord. The summer cottage is beautifully situated and secluded, and has no through road, but is free from cars and other vehicles. At the back of the summer cottage, there is open countryside and you can walk freely into the forest. There are several bicycles that you can borrow free of charge, as well as a few children's bicycles. Other things to note The summer cottage is well located for being in peace and quiet and close to nature. It is within walking distance to our shared dock where you can swim, sunbathe and even use our canoe, which you can borrow freely. There is a lookout point called Klinten, which is about 5 minutes by car from the summer cottage, where you can enjoy a nice view of Karlsborg and Lake Vättern. Fishing in Bottensjön (which is right by the cottage) is good according to those who manage the fishing waters. But the prerequisite for fishing is that you have a boat and the associated fishing license. There are several fishing waters in the area, such as Lake Viken, Lake Vättern, and in Tiveden with a number of small lakes (fishing license required). It is about 10 minutes by car to Karlsborg, which has most of what you need as a guest: a tourist office, shops, restaurants, cafés, an indoor swimming pool, a health center, a pharmacy, etc. There is an old fortress that you can visit if you have time. You have nice swimming opportunities in Karlsborg in Sweden's second largest lake, Lake Vättern. There are long and very nice sandy beaches there. Close to Tiveden National Park with great nature experiences. Also worth mentioning are Vitsand (a magically beautiful little swimming lake in the middle of Tiveden) and nice little fishing lakes in Tiveden, which do require a fishing license (Kroksjön, which is my favorite, is about 30 minutes by car from the summer cottage and is very beautiful). It is worth a visit just to enjoy nature and a packed lunch. There is a special swimming area called Djäknasundet which is very popular. There you need to be out in good time to be able to get parking space for the car. Forsvik with the Göta Canal is a pleasant getaway spot with a restaurant, café and the opportunity to see boats passing through the canal locks. Hjo is another nice destination about 30 minutes from the summer cottage, with restaurants and nice views of Lake Vättern. Skara Sommarland is a large amusement and swimming park that is a popular tourist destination about 1 hour by car from the summer cottage.
