The Long Linhay is a beautiful spacious cottage ideally situated within easy walking distance of the village of Mortehoe with its pubs, restaurant and takeaways, whilst still being far enough away the hustle & bustle. Woolacombe with its beautiful sandy beach and amenities are only a short drive away. The cottage offers something special - quality, peaceful accommodation for couples. Uniquely set in six acres of farmland with rural and sea views and lots of wonderful walks from the door. The Long Linhay has a modern, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and washer/dryer. The stylish living room has a wood burning stove for cosy evenings. The large bedroom has a king size bed. The bathroom has a bath and a seperate shower. The Long Linhay offers a high level of comfort with oak floors, full central heating, free Wi-Fi and a private sun trap patio with sun loungers and BBQ. There is plenty of parking adjacent to the cottage. All linen and towels are provided accept beach towels, but these can be provided on request. The Long Linhay is non-smoking, pet free accommodation. Short breaks of 3 nights or more are available. Long Linhay is only a 5 minute walk from the village of Mortehoe with its pubs and restuarants, beautiful church and small museum. Woolacombe Beach is a 10 minute drive and other beaches such as Rockham Bay, Barricane Beach & Lee Bay are all within walking distance. The old Victorian seaside town of Ifracombe is close by where the MS Oldenburg sails regularly to magical Lundy Island. The Exmoor National Park is an easy drive as are the villages of Lynton & Lynmouth. The nearest town is Barnstaple with its shops, a theatre, a cinema and a lovely Pannier market selling local produce. The South West Coastal footpath is close to the cottage with Ilfracombe and its pretty harbour in one direction and Croyde in the other. The Tarka Trail is a series of footpaths and cycle paths which follow the route taken by the fictional Tarka the Otter in the book by Henry Williamson. It covers 180 miles in a figure of eight route, centred on Barnstaple but is easily explored in short sections. The nearest one to the Long Linhay is the Braunton to Barnstaple section, which runs along the Taw Estuary and is 6 miles in length. Bicycles can be hired from Braunton and Barnstaple.
