Warm, comfy, hideaway, attached to our home, situated in the breathtaking Glenmacnass valley. Incredibly scenic & tranquil. On the edge of the National Park & a short drive from Glendalough, as well as many other beautiful places, too numerous to mention. An amazingly quaint self-catering place, just made for that romantic get-away. You'll love it's warm cosy atmosphere, technology detox but with the necessary mod-cons. Come find your peace here! We are always available to you, if needed. The space Our home is situated on the Old Military road, in the valley of Glenmacnass, surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in Wicklow. Our garden, where your cosy hideaway is, offers fabulous views of the countryside. Whether you have your meals inside or out you can drink in the magical views. Fresh eggs from our hens, when they decide to lay (!) & homemade breads provided. Come visit & have the freedom to come & go as you please, while enjoying the wonderful Wicklow mountains & all they have to offer. This can be your very own sanctuary. Come find your peace. But be aware that we are not within walking distance of the village & that in order to make the most of your time here it is necessary to have your own transport. Public transport in this area is almost non-existent - so beware! Guest access This is a very special space, it's been created with love, with our guest's comfort in mind. The space consists of the main room, which contains the kitchen at one side - at the other is your relaxing area, with comfy seating & plenty of books to read, games to play, where all the objects you see can tell a story of lives lived in this valley many years ago. There is also a double bedroom where you will have a very peaceful night's sleep, with fresh bed linen provided. Please note this is the ONLY bed! Hope you'll love the bathroom, with its mixture of old & new! Fresh towels provided Our garden is quite extensive & you are welcome to enjoy it. We have even hosted a few wedding blessings here for couples who stayed with us, on different occasions. You will share parts of the garden with our hens, goats Daisy, Gail & Billy & our two crazy, friendly dogs - who just love people! But do feel free to ignore them if you want. Our hens provide your breakfast eggs! Unfortunately our hens have been killed by a mink recently - so no eggs, at the moment 😢 (Feb '26) We will be available to advise you on where to go & the hidden places to see - or if you wish you can wander the area & find your own hidden gems! PLEASE NOTE - you will require a car, we are NOT near public transport & are 5k from the village, also host occupies rest of property. We're always on hand to help - or not - it's entirely up to you, our guests, how much interaction we have! Other things to note Please note - WiFi is satellite, therefore can be affected by the weather- most of the time it is fine, you can send/receive emails, send/receive internet messages & calls, search the Internet. Mobile phone coverage is NOT available here - it's perfect in the village There is a radio provided There is no TV BUT plenty of books & games. This is a place to come & get away from all technology & relax.. In the case of an emergency you can use our landline. Please note - there is NO oven. There's an electric hob, microwave & toaster.
