Description

Bellhouse Croft is a relaxing cottage situated in Emley Moor, Huddersfield 10mins from the Yorkshire Sculpture Park & stunning views of the iconic Grade II listed Emley Moor Mast. The cottage has a log burner and provides a perfect all year round location.16 mins from the Peak District,National Park and a host of attractions in the surrounding area.The 3 Acres restaurant is 1 min away and we offer 20% off their breakfast. There are many footpaths and trails to satisfy all keen walkers & cyclists The space There is a spacious lounge with a comfortable settee that turns into a small double bed and single arm chair to relax next to the log burning fire. A smart TV and dvd player with a few old classics in the drawer. There is a small dining table for 2 with 2 chairs. The open plan kitchen has all the amenities you should need. Fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine toaster, cutlery, tablewear, glasswear, pots and pans and cooking utensils are all provided. Iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner provided. The bedroom has a king size bed but can be split into 2 single beds upon request. It has 1 wardrobe with drawers and 2 X bedside cabinets. There isn’t a bath but a lovely hot shower. Guest access The post code for the cottage is HD8 8LR. On arrival if you look out for the 3 Acres Restaurant, the entrance to the cottage is directly across the road from their car park entrance. The free parking for Bellhouse Croft is on the left hand side, there is space for two cars and there is a sign which shows where the parking is. Bellhouse Croft is identifiable from the sign by the front door. There is also a bistro table and chairs outside. Check in is from 15:00. We find that guests prefer to access the cottage themselves with the key from the lock box, but we are on hand if there is anything you require. The gardens for the cottage are the 2 to the left and right of the patio. All the other gardens are private property and are owned by the residents who live here permanently. There is a large pond opposite the cottage which is private property, please refrain from walking over or feeding the ducks and we most certainly wouldn’t want you falling in the pond! Please only use the gardens which belong to the cottage. There are seat pads for the bistro table hanging in the wardrobe. When not in use please bring the pads back inside. There is a tray to put your boots and shoes on under the coat rack. Please may we ask you pack your slippers or woolly socks and refrain from wearing outdoor shoes in the cottage. On departure, please place the key back in the key box. Check out is 10:00am Housekeeping requests - please leave the cottage as you found it for the next guests to enjoy. Please leave all used towels in the shower. Please leave any refuse sacks outside the door of the cottage to be collected and Glass in the green recycling box outside the door. The cottage is very easy to live in, there is information about the cottage in a clear folder in the kitchen, some details are also listed below: WIFI- simply scan the QR code found under the white WiFi box on the table in the corner of the lounge and follow the link. The signal is adequate enough for connecting to the internet, messaging etc. Lighting & heating The cottage uses electricity for both. The radiators are all programmed to maintain an ambient room temperature. If you need them altering, please just drop us a text or a call. If you feel you need a boost of extra heat press the hand 🖐️ button on the radiator and it will give that extra boost for 2 hours. If you go out and wish to turn the heating off please press the frost button on the front of each heater and when you come back in to the cottage press it again to switch back on. There is a pull cord switch for the shower between the screen and the toilet. Please switch off after use. Any questions reg the heating ( or anything ) please don’t hesitate to ask we are always happy to help. Due to the energy crisis and rising costs please may we ask that you switch off any lights which are not in use and also ensure the immersion switch and heater in the bathroom are switched off when not in use. Log Burning stove There is a supply of kindling, logs and firelighters to get you started. If you run out of logs there is a farm shop 1 mile away that sells logs and other supplies for you to purchase at your own expense, if required. In Summer logs are not provided. Please follow the instructions for using the fire. SMOKING & CANDLES: Smoking is not permitted in the cottage Sadly we do not allow candles, unless they are for a birthday cake, fortunately the cottage smells sweet enough! Laundry: The washing machine is also a dryer. Washing programs work by turning the main dial to the right. Drying programs are by turning to the left. There is a collapsible clothes horse, iron and ironing board in the cupboard in the hallway. Kitchen Appliances These are all electric, they are all self-explanatory but if you need further assistance the instruction leaflets are in the instructions folder. Detergents There are a supply of dishwasher tablets under the sink. Washing up liquid is also provided. Fridge Within this there is a small freezer compartment. Once you leave the cottage please take all food with you. Kitchen cupboards These are well equipped with all you should need for your stay. Cheekily the cutlery drawer is a drawer within a drawer the one which houses the oven trays between the fridge and dishwasher. Please take all food away with you. Bathroom & Bedroom The shower and heated towel rail are electric. Please switch off after use. Extra toilet rolls are in the cupboard under the sink. The shower screen is fixed. The only paper to be flushed away is toilet paper. Please do enjoy a cuppa in bed in the morning or a night cap before bedtime, all we ask is you use the coasters on the bedside chests. The tops have recently been painted by our lovely decorator and she gets very upset and will tell us off if she has to come back to repaint them so soon. On Departure · Please leave the cottage as you found it for the next guests to enjoy. · Empty fridge and cupboards of all food and drinks. · Please leave refuse in a bin bag outside the cottage door and any glass bottles in the small green recycling box · Please leave key in Key Lock Box on departure and muddle up the code. Across the road is the beautiful and famous 3 Acres restaurant and pub. We have kindly been given vouchers entitling our guests 20% off The 3 Acre’s delicious and filling breakfast to really set our guests up for the day ahead. We are Ideally situated for the Peak District, National Park and Pennines. There are a whole host of attractions in the surrounding area. An abundance of footpaths and trails to satisfy even the most prolific walkers. Cyclists will also enjoy riding country roads which are now frequently occupied by the professionals. A mere ten minutes drive takes you to both the National Mining Museum and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park open air gallery and museum. Holmfirth, the backdrop of Last of The Summer Wine is a 20 minute drive as is Cannon Hall Farm and the Hepworth Gallery. The Royal Armouries and the grand stately home of Wentworth Castle can be reached in around half an hour. The nearest town is Huddersfield which has excellent train links to Manchester, Leeds and York, all of which combine culture, history and shopping and restaurant experiences beautifully. There is a farm shop 1 mile away and a Co-op 2 miles away in the local village of Kirkburton. There are many beautiful restaurants and pubs in the surrounding areas, we have visited most of them, please take a look at our guide and see our recommendations to our favourites..we love our food and wine!
