Studio Cartlodge Loft by Ickworth, Bury St Edmunds

The Cartlodge is a cosy 1st floor studio apartment in the beautiful village of Horringer, Bury St Edmunds, bordering the stunning Ickworth House Estate & a 5 minute drive into the historic market town. Private off-street parking & equipped with all the essentials makes this an ideal spot for 1 or 2 people visiting the town or exploring the National Trust estate for a short getaway or work trip, with the choice of two excellent village pubs serving food most days for those not wishing to cook. The space Detached from the main house, situated over our large garage, The Cartlodge offers a private open plan living space with a King sized bed, wood burning stove, kitchen, wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. The kitchen comes equipped with all the essential cookware and dinnerware, appliances include an induction hob, oven, microwave, and a silent mini fridge complete with a pint of milk. Fresh towels, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board will also be provided along with a complimentary selection of tea and coffee to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is a 32" Smart TV (streaming only) in the lounge area, and a 70" short-throw projector connected to a Google Chromecast providing access to streaming services such as Netflix and BBC iPlayer, perfect for watching in bed. No smoking of any kind is permitted indoors. Well-behaved four legged furry friends are welcome to stay too and will likely be greeted by our own friendly Golden Retriever called Charlie (Please note the garden is not enclosed and backs onto an open field, for safety please keep your loved ones on lead when outside). Guest access On arrival we will aim to welcome you in person to answer any questions you may have and to help you settle in whilst on your stay. We will also issue you a code for the key safe so you can come and go as you please. There is ample off-road parking space on the driveway for two cars if required. Other things to note Distances to other possible places of interest: Cambridge - 40 minutes Lavenham - 25 minutes Suffolk / Norfolk Coasts - 1 hour + High Lodge Thetford Forest - 40 minutes The closest train station is in Bury St Edmunds which provides great transport links to Ipswich, Cambridge and London. Deliveroo and Just Eat provide a great selection of restaurants that deliver to the property. Multiple supermarkets nearby: Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, and Aldi to name a few, all located in BSE.
