The space The Scholar Suite is a private, one-bedroom-style suite inside the Columbus Hotel, designed for guests whose Middletown stay has purpose: school, hospital visits, work, family, or a longer local assignment. Inside, you have a queen bed, a clean private bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a modern kitchenette with stainless steel appliances, granite countertop, sink, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, kitchenware, cookware, and a convection cooktop. The suite also includes free reliable high-speed Wi-Fi, a dedicated workstation perfect for working on a laptop, a 42” Smart HDTV, iron and ironing board, and a powerful mini-split AC and heating unit for year-round comfort and ventilation. The Scholar Suite is especially strong for Touro-related stays, Garnet Health visits, work travel, visiting family, Paramount Theatre plans, and extended bookings where hotel privacy and apartment-style function both matter. You can work from the desk, keep groceries, make simple meals, stream at night, and hold a practical routine during your time in Middletown. You’ll check in with a smart lock, use shared laundry in the building with easy card payment, and park in our large private lot on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a downtown, multi-suite hotel building. Expect an urban, convenient experience rather than a secluded one, with normal city activity and guests moving through shared areas. Weekly and monthly stays are welcome, available, and ideal. Guest access Guests have private access to their suite through smart-lock self check-in. There is a smart lock at the main ground-level building entrance and a separate smart lock on each suite door. Check-in instructions are sent on the day of arrival through Airbnb messages. Access codes are never posted publicly. Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and checkout is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in may be available when approved in writing. Late checkout may be available for a fee and must be requested at least 12 hours before checkout. Free parking is available in the large private lot behind the building on a first-come, first-served basis. One standard-size vehicle per reservation is preferred. Oversized vehicles are not permitted in the lot. Shared laundry is available in the building with easy card payment. Please do not run laundry during quiet hours. There is no elevator in the building, and stairs are required. Other things to note The Columbus Hotel is a downtown, multi-suite property. The experience is urban, convenient, and private rather than secluded. You may hear normal city activity, hallway movement, stairs, and other guests coming and going. This is a good fit for guests who value easy access to Middletown, a clean private suite, practical in-room comforts, and a well-run stay in a working downtown setting. Only registered guests are permitted on the property. No visitors, parties, events, gatherings, or commercial shoots are allowed. Quiet hours are from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be considerate of other guests in the building. No pets are allowed. No smoking, vaping, or cannabis use is allowed anywhere inside the building, suites, hallways, or common areas. Violations may result in cancellation, removal from the property, additional fees, and smoke remediation charges. Exterior and common-area security cameras are in place for guest and property safety. There are no cameras inside any suite and no noise monitors inside the rooms. A Pack ’n Play with crib sheet set is available upon request. Weekly and monthly stays are welcome.
