Within five blocks, you'll find two parks, a recreation center, an ice arena, and more—all nestled in the serenity of this quiet neighborhood. The space Welcome to Lilly’s Pad! This home holds a special place in our hearts. It was built in 1961 by my grandparents, Lillian and Lyle. They raised their two children here and later doted on their two grandchildren within these walls. My grandmother, Lillian, was a devoted housewife and office manager for the family’s small business. She was also a talented cook and a gracious entertainer. My grandfather, Lyle, was a business owner and true cowboy, often spending time at “the farm,” a small acreage off 10-Mile Road. In honor of my grandmother, we named this home Lilly’s Pad. Much of the house retains its original charm, including the colorful and eclectic hall bath. You’ll also find many personal, homemade touches throughout. At the end of the hall, in the hall bath, and the snow scene in the bedroom were created by my mom. The rocker in the second bedroom was used by my mom to rock my sister and me, while the one in the first bedroom was mine as a child. In the master bedroom is a painting of my grandfather’s favorite horse, Buck. The doilies on the hall wall were crocheted by my grandmother. This home is full of love, history, and stories, and we hope it provides the perfect backdrop for making wonderful memories. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the basement and garage areas will remain unoccupied and secured during your visit. We kindly ask that you avoid accessing these spaces.
