Perched on the rim of ancient volcanic crater lake Kyaninga this place offers stunning views of the surrounding rainforest and the mythic Mountains of the Moon. Black and White colobus monkeys and an incredible variety of birds, including a resident flock of crested cranes, inhabit the immediate surroundings and many species live in the large, magnificent tropical garden that includes a meditation/yoga garden. You will feel refereshed and rejuvinated here; you will want to stay here forever. The space The chalet contains four bedrooms. Two have two authentic Swahili/Zanzibari beds each and two have large double beds, one being king sized. The charming livingroom has stylish handcarved furniture and two antique beautifully decorated chests that contain more than two hundred books for your leisure. It's a pleasure cooking in the fully equipped kitchen and sharing a meal on the large sized dining table. For those that don't wish to cook: we also have the delivery menu's of two of the best restaurants in FP on our table,... including the best pizza delivery in town. The bathroom with shower cabin is spacious and practical. There is a storage room with a new fridge and shelves that offer plenty of space to place your fruits and vegetables. The storage room also contains a first aid kit and fire extinguisher. The chalet is adorned by more than forty watercolours and acrylic paintings, many painted in the amazing three acres tropical garden. The chalet is, due to its refined, creative architectural structure, flood with natural light but the cherry on the pie is, undeniably, it's large, relaxing wooden deck that offers spectacular views of ancient lake Kyaninga and the Mountains of the Moon. You will want to stay here forever! Guest access All, including the three acres amazing tropical garden, lake Kyaninga and its Jurassic Parc alike abundant forests and the artgallery/fashion boutique (under renovation). My wife is a fashion designer and I am a painter. Right outside the chalet we have a campfire space with fire dish for you to enjoy long tropical evenings outside with friends and family. Other things to note There is a Purifaaya water filter available that provides free drinking water, so no need to bring plastic water bottles. We have two dustbins in the chalet: one inside for non-organic material such as paper or plastic and one outside right at the entrance door for bio-waste.
