Cottage by the farmgate

Step back in time when you stay at this unique and historic place. This 90+ year old cottage has been refurbished, adding the modern comforts inside. It has high ceiling at the front and low ceiling at the back, which retains its original layout. At the same time, you can experience living in the rural area with the farmlands right outside the backdoor. However, community access is not too far away. Orbost township is merely a 5 minute drive where you can buy your necessities. The space This is a 90+ year old cottage house. The entry and front 2 bedrooms have high ceilings which tapers down to a low ceiling at the living/dining areas. The property is in a 2.3 acre land with livestock at the back paddock. There is a side gate leading to the kitchen side door, as well as a large yard with a shed and another gate leading to the back paddock. Guest access The front door decking and front verandah are currently under refurbishment. Access to the house will be from the gated side yard. Please note that this is a shared access to the back shed and back paddock. Other things to note We welcome travellers passing through, as well as fishing and hunting enthusiasts. We will accommodate your needs in terms of available freezer. If you're travelling, we can accommodate one night stay depending on the season. The property is also undergoing further improvements hence, discounted cost has been applied. Access to the front door is temporarily unavailable. However, the shared side yard is accessible anytime. Just note that this is a shared access to the back shed and paddock which may have livestock. Non-guest may access this from time to time to tend to the livestock and paddock. Access will be kept to a minimum during your stay.
