Blue Room - Queen & Twin + lots of Amenities!

Cozy & color themed, the Blue Room at the Gorge View Retreat offers convenience in a comfy setting! This room features a desk, and 55” TV and access to your favorite streaming services to enjoy while you relax in the Queen size bed, & twin for 3rd guest. With access to many other amenities and easy access to stores, restaurants, and outdoor activities like kayaking or hiking in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Blue Room is perfect for work or play. Ask about a multi-night discount! The space The Gorge View Retreat is located on a quiet acre of land that is adjacent to a wooded park and still just 1 minute from town. Guests are welcome to park along the driveway, or on the concrete area, to the right where Guest parking is notated, or on the far side of the street. We do not use the “Front Door” as it is not the most convenient entry. We instead enter through the middle garage door. There is a keypad and Welcome Sign just to the left of the door. Upon entering, you will be greeted by the main entryway inside. In the vestibule, you will find a coat room you are welcome to utilize and a half bath. We do ask that shoes be left in the coat room, or near the entry and not worn in carpeted spaces. Through the vestibule, you will find yourself in the dining room. It is a combination of living and dining and entry, and you are welcome to deposit your luggage and settle yourself when arriving and making trips to your car. The dining room has wonderful views of front and back yards and is a great place to dine, gather, or just relax. Through the dining room you will find the extra large kitchen with 2 fridges, and pantry just across from them for your use. We offer guests an electric tea kettle as well as a Keurig that brews hot or iced beverages, and of course access to any kitchen items you need. Our level is accessed through the kitchen and has the Laundry and a Full bathroom. The Living Room on the main level holds a piano (play of you know how!) and comfy seating to watch tv. When going up the stairs, you will find a loft and your guest room straight ahead at the top of the stairs. The upstairs Full Bathroom is in the hallway to your left. Additional towels are found in the linen closet in the bathroom. Your room has - Queen Bed Twin Bed Desk & trash can 2 Chairs Lamps Smart TV & remote Additional blankets Cothes rack & hangers Cordless Blinds & curtains Laundry basket in the loft for towels Each full bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash available. Outside in the backyard, you will find a deck with grill, dining table, hot tub, pool, and fire pit with chairs and a picnic table, and a small box of fire building tools. It can be a wonderful space ro relax!! Please note: PETS: We do accept cats and small pets, but we do not accept dogs, as we have 2 cata who do live here full time. SMOKING: We are strictly an no-smoking/vaping property. Guest access Guests will receive a code to access the garage entry via keypad, as well as codes for the rear entry. Guests are welcome to use the Kitchen, Dining, Living Room, Loft, Laundry and Work-Out Rooms as well as outdoor spaces. You are welcome to store food in the kitchen fridges and pantry, and to prepare meals as you like (and please clean up too). There are 4 shared bathrooms throughout the home for your use as well: 2 half baths on the main level, and a full bath on the lower level and one upstairs. These are all shared by all sleeping rooms. Please feel free to ask about any needs you have not covered here already. We are happy to help you find anything you need without searching, and are confident guests will respect personal spaces such as private sleeping rooms and the office. During your stay You are welcome to message me on the app anytime should you need anything at all during your stay if I am not readily available. We may be around in the public spaces, and hope that guests feel at home there too. We enjoy getting to know guests when it makes sense, but recognize everyone’s visits are different, and respect the guest preferences. If I am home/on-site working in my office, or doing anything, please feel free to come find me. We are happy to do anything we can to ensure a wonderful visit. Other things to note We truly appreciate our guests and look forward to hosting you !! The Blue Room is one of three guest rooms that we offer, and we function much like an old-fashioned bed breakfast where your host lives on site and you will likely have interaction with other guests, and the full bathroom is shared by all 3 guest rooms. -PET POLICY: We do accept cats and small animals with prior approval only. We do not accept dogs. -SMOKING: We are a strictly non-smoking/vaping property. ***CAUTIONS*** In order to provide the best and safest experience possible, please take note… -CHILDREN: Please be aware that we live in a beautiful spot on the edge of a cliff (pictured with the fire pit). In warmer weather, while this can be beautiful, it can also be a danger for children. Due to the cliffside location and pool, our property is best suited to older children and infants who are not yet mobile. Supervision of children at all times is required and essential for their safety. -ALLERGIES: We have indoor cats, so if you gave allergies, you may want to consider a different property for your stay. -SPECIAL EVENTS: If you have a larger party or are interested in reserving all three rooms for a special weekend or an event, please message me and let me know.
