Description
A large traditional style cabin on the edge of the urban town, nested against the jungle. We offer two floors of accommodation, hostel style with up to 8 individual beds. There are 3 shared toilets and showers. There is 24/7 electricity provided by solar/battery, drinking water and general water from washing collected by tanks from the rain. We offer at an extra cost 3 meals a day as well as many tours such as night walks, birding, dolphin observation and general trekking. The space We have several wooden cabins built in a traditional style at the far end of the small town of Puerto Nariño. The property backs onto the forest so you are surrounded by nature. We grow many exotic fruits and other things in the garden where birds, monkeys, squirrels and other animals can be seen. There is a separate kitchen and dining area where you can cook meals using the gas stove, but we can also provide local meals at a small cost. The showers and toilets are attached to each building so that you do not need to leave the sleeping area to use them. All the water is collected from the rain or comes from a local river, except for the drinking water that comes from the local town plant. Fans and mosquito nets are available in the rooms as well as all bedding and towels. In addition to the accommodation, all types of tours are guided by your host Pedro. Pedro was one of the first guides in Puerto Nariño, with over 15 years of experience taking people on the boats, canoes, walking through the forest day and night, visiting local tribes etc As an independent operator prices are more competitive. There is no WiFi but cellular phones work well to provide a good data connection. Guest access Guests have access the shared spaces such as the kitchen, dining area and bathrooms as well as the garden. The only restricted area is our separate private home.
