Nestled in the heart of charming Winona Lake, The Tulip House is a lovingly restored 1908 gem that beautifully combines historic character with modern comforts. The space Welcome to The Tulip House INSIDE OUR HOME The Tulip House comfortably sleeps guests in four bedrooms. On the main level, there’s a queen bedroom with an adjoining bathroom featuring a large shower with a rain shower head and handheld option. Upstairs, you’ll find three additional bedrooms: one with a twin-over-full bunk bed and an optional twin air mattress, a queen bedroom with peekaboo lake views, and a king bedroom with a cozy chair and ottoman. The downstairs living spaces are designed for comfort and relaxation. The front sunroom features two large rocking chairs and an outdoor sectional, while the screened-in back porch offers a dining table, a charming porch swing bed, comfy chairs, and a gas fire pit for cool evenings. The main living room includes a sofa, an accent chair, a Roku TV, and a cozy remote-controlled candlelight fireplace. The dining room seats 6–8 guests, with additional ottoman seating, and includes a bar hutch stocked with a variety of glassware for all your cocktail needs. The updated kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, dishwasher, air fryer, blender, bakeware, Carote pots and pans, a picnic basket, and a coffee station featuring a Keurig, Ninja, and drip coffee maker. UPSTAIRS HIGHLIGHTS The second floor is home to three bedrooms, each with its own Roku TV and plenty of storage space. The Rec Room is a family favorite, featuring a deep, comfortable couch, an air hockey table, yoga mats and blocks, games, puzzles, and a Roku TV. A small reading nook overlooks the village, offering a quiet retreat with a selection of books. The upstairs bathroom is fully stocked with linens, a hairdryer, a towel warmer, and toiletries. A convenient laundry room with a washer, dryer, and linen baskets completes the upstairs amenities. OUTDOOR RETREAT The Tulip House overlooks a peaceful canal, bordered by vacant lots that offer privacy in the heart of Winona Lake. The spacious backyard is perfect for family games or unwinding by the gas fire pit with Adirondack chairs. In summer, enjoy the hammock under the towering tulip tree or request bikes for a leisurely ride. The outdoor hot tub is ideal for relaxing with a drink while soaking in the vibrant sights and sounds of the village, including live music from Port Winona. Or use the one of our five beach cruisers (bicycles) to pedal along the island and explore at your convenience THINGS TO DO The village, filled with charming shops and delicious restaurants, is just a left turn and a short walk over the canal bridge. Head right over the bridge to The Lakehouse, where you’ll find boat rentals and everything you need for a perfect lake day. Less than a three-minute walk from the home, you’ll discover Limitless Park, which offers pickleball and tennis courts, an outdoor playground, and beach access. Take a stroll around the island at sunset for stunning views and friendly conversations—you’re bound to meet someone along the way! In the winter, the enchanting Winona Christmas lights and nearby ice skating rink make for a magical experience. During the summer, the canal is perfect for fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding, while biking around the paths, island, and village adds an extra layer of fun to your adventure. We’re also just a short drive from Grace College, with its picturesque campus, and downtown Warsaw, making The Tulip House an ideal home base for your stay. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home with exception of the locked access off of the kitchen and upstairs reading nook. Other things to note There are stairs for entry into this home. So please be aware that it is not able to accommodate wheelchairs at this time.
