Back to school! Welcome to the former school building of Dr. K. Schilderschool in Bedum. A spacious apartment has been created in room 4 of the school, which was built in 1950. The space is equipped with all comforts, has a modern kitchen and bathroom and is heated by underfloor heating. The apartment has its own entrance and private garden and can be reached via a pedestrian path. Parking is available 50 meters away. Bedum is only 10 km from the bustling city of Groningen. The space The apartment has a living area of 86m2 and a private garden. In 2020, the space was converted into a home and is equipped with a modern kitchen, bathroom and floor heating. In addition to a spacious living room, the house has a bedroom overlooking the garden with fruit trees and where a tawny owl lives in the summer. Cot and highchair are available. Guest access Parking is possible in the old parking lot of the school. At the main entrance, there is a key safe where you can take out the keys (you will receive the after booking). Less than 50 meters away, you walk via a pedestrian path to the entrance of the apartment in room 4. Other things to note The school is located in the old and quiet part of Bedum, just outside the city center. Many amenities are within walking distance, such as: - Supermarket (650 meters) - Various restaurants (from 150 meters) - Bus stop (250 meters) - Train station (700 meters) - Indoor swimming pool (950 meters) The village is known for "the Schaive Toorn", which at 4.18 degrees from the perpendicular, is the most crooked tower in the Netherlands (and more crooked than the tower of Pisa). Bedum is a very good base to go to the bustling student city of Groningen. The city can be reached in 15 minutes by car, with an e-bike you can be on the Grote Markt in half an hour, and there is a direct bus and train connection.
