Welcome to The Jewell, a family friendly cottage on a 63 acre flower farm. The cottage offers comfortable accomodations and porches with rocking chairs to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings and sounds of Jewell Branch creek. The property also offers private access to the Eastatoee river and plenty of walking trails. Nearby, you'll find Table Rock SP, Keowee Toxaway SP, Lake Keowee or Lake Jocassee, stocked trout streams to fish, and multiple hiking trails including the Foothills Trail. The space - Beautiful Eastatoee Valley property with comfortable 3 bedroom/2 bath guest cottage - Bring your furry friends! Pets allowed with no extra charge - Family friendly games: Cornhole, ladder ball, outdoor checkers, Monopoly, Scrabble, Chutes and Ladders, and more - Private access to the Eastatoee River on the property (the river is only a 3 minute walk from the cottage) and a creek next to the cottage - 15 minutes to Lake Keowee or Lake Jocassee - Hiking opportunities close by, including Twin Falls and the Foothills Trail - Close to numerous stocked trout streams - 15 minutes to Table Rock State Park or Keowee-Toxaway State Park; 30 minutes to Caesars Head State Park -High speed internet wifi with TV streaming apps available The space: A classic cottage design with recent updates: the house was originally built in the 1950s and had extensive renovations and updates in 2024. You'll find a spacious kitchen with cooking and baking pots, pans, and utensils, along with a dining table, wine glasses, and a cozy living room with TV & games. There are also three porches with outdoor furniture and rocking chairs where guests can sit and enjoy the outdoors! Inside the home you will find 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Each bathroom has a shower (no bathtubs) with clean linens provided. Each bedroom is appointed with comfortable sheets and covers. The bedrooms include: - Master bedroom: King bed - Secondary bedroom: Queen bed - Third bedroom: Full (or double) bed Also available: -A full size washer and dryer are available for use. -A foldable pack and play is included with the rental and can be set up easily in the master bedroom. Please note this guest cottage is adjacent to the main house on the property which is sometimes occupied. You and your group will still have access to the full property. Pet Policy: -Pets are allowed in this home with no additional charge. Please be respectful of the property and note any damage caused by pets. -Please clean up after your dog if any pet waste is left in the yard. Parking Details: - Ample driveway space for cars and a boat are available. - Please contact the host prior to booking if you plan to park or use a camper on the property. [DISCLAIMERS] - This is rural land. While staying here, you may encounter the wildlife that goes with rural spaces, such as deer, turkeys, racoons, bears, spiders, armadillos, and venomous and non-venomous snakes. - No smoking inside the home. Violators will be subject to a $500 fine. - The discharge of firearms or any hunting by guests on the property is strictly prohibited. Violators will be subject to a $1,000 fine. Guest access Guests (and their pets and children) have access to the entire guest home and may wander and hike around the farm property. A map is located on the property noting the farm's boundaries. Please do not trespass onto any of the neighbor's properties. Guests are more than welcome to access and enjoy the beautiful Eastatoe river located on the property. The Eastatoe river, within the stream bed or on the surface of the water, is private access only for this property and neighboring properties with no public access allowed. Guests may tube and kayak the portion of the river that is on the farm property but should not use the river on neighboring properties. Please also note that the back of the farm borders a portion of Jocassee Gorges, a large state owned public natural area with remote access. During the fall and winter, the state allows public game hunting on the Jocassee Gorges. It is not advised that guests wander into the game land area during public hunting season. If guests do want to explore the Gorges during public hunting season, it is strongly advised that guests wear proper clothing, such as safety orange vests and hats. The discharge of firearms or any hunting by guests on the property is strictly prohibited. Guests found to be doing either of these will be subject to a $1,000 fine.
