Attractions in Launceston (9 miles) include its ruined castle, charming Victorian steam railway and Trethorne Leisure Park, with bumper cars and a climbing wall. The glorious North Cornish coast with golden sands at Summerleaze in Bude (12 miles) and Crackington Haven (14 miles) is within easy reach.
