Explore a variety of nearby activities from hiking and biking to hot springs and skiing. This 1903 Colonial home is 3 blocks away from the National Historic District of Idaho Springs. At elevation 7,520' you are close to Denver and driving distance to Ski Country USA. The space This beautifully restored historic home combines a bit of old and new. My home is a mix of traditional and contemporary styles. On the first floor there is an entry way, dining room, living room with a mountain view window sitting area, library and TV area. My kitchen is well equipped to do some happy cooking and elevated baking. You have use of Le Creuset Dutch Oven, Stoneware Casserole Baking Dishes, Vita Mix, Stainless Cookware, German Chef Knives, Handmade Wood Cutting Boards, Rice Cooker and a variety of Specialized Baking Pans. If you are a serious chef/baker let me know in advance and I can make available the Kitchen-Aid Stand Mixer. There is a small 1/2 bathroom downstairs. On the second floor there is bedroom with king bed and attached 1/2 bathroom, a bedroom with full bed, and a newly remodeled main bathroom that and has a bathtub and shower. There is a bright atelier for creative projects and remote work. Begin or end your day in a sunny room designed for reading, meditation, yoga or stretching out those tired ski legs. From the protected front porch you have mountain views. There is a backyard patio and outdoor dining area In my yard I lovingly cultivate lilac, raspberry, rhubarb, flower and xeriscape gardens. Guest access Guests have full access to home indoors and out with the exception of an upstairs bedroom and the basement which are locked off for home owner use only. Bike or ski storage is available. Please let me know in advance of your arrival if you need bike storage. An attendant card gives you free laundry use at Clear Creek Laundromat. Laundry can be done there 6am to 10pm 7 days a week. It is 2 blocks away. Other things to note This is a non smoking property. Pets are not allowed. This property is not suitable for small children due to unfenced walls and other safety concerns. Please help preserve the 120 year old maple hardwood floors by not wearing outdoor shoes, hiking boots or cycling shoes inside. My home is free of fragranced cleaning products. I use Dirty Labs unscented laundry detergent and offer Colorado Aromatics botanical body care products.
