La Prévôté

La Prévôté, located in the heart of the charming village of Candes-St-Martin, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, invites you to stay in a unique historical setting. Nestled in a building listed as a Historic Monument, this cottage combines the elegance of a 15th century home with the charm of an 18th-century wing, carefully restored by a passionate family. It offers an exceptional location whose garden terrace has a spectacular view of the Collegiate Church. The space The house is on two levels, it is arranged so as to offer maximum privacy to everyone. However, the house dating from the 15th century and being registered as a Historical Monument it is unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility. On the ground floor you will find: - A large living room equipped with a TV with a monumental fireplace brings a warm touch to this living room that comfortably accommodates all guests. - The kitchen /dining room which has all the space and equipment needed to share good meals (among others: oven, induction stove, range hood, large fridge, microwave, dishwasher) - An attached toilet but incorporating a clearance for more privacy - 2 spacious bedrooms offering single or double beds to suit the different configurations. They are isolated from the living rooms by a small hallway that also serves a bathroom, toilet and laundry (washing machine, dryer) - A large bedroom equipped with a double bed (160) that has its own bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) Upstairs served by its stone stair tower: - two large bedrooms equipped with double beds (160) that have their own bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) - Another large bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed - A landing Accuracy for linens: Sheets and towels are provided for all beds. It is advisable to specify the configuration (single beds or doubles) to organize things as best as possible. Outside: - the garden is totally closed, children will be able to enjoy it safely. There is a table for twelve people and an arbor with more relaxing garden furniture. - an outdoor toilet is also available for added convenience. Guest access Space is available near the house to facilitate unloading (1 car), as well as free parking located a 1-minute walk from the cottage up the street. It is also possible to park on the street below the house, behind the collegiate church. Other things to note The cottage will not accommodate more than 15 people (infants included) for security reasons. Indeed, according to French law from 16 people very strict safety standards apply (especially in case of fire) Thank you for understanding and following this rule. A right of way in the garden is granted to a co-owner of the Prévôté.
