Sparrow Nest (2 bedroom cottage)

Sparrow Nest is a fully appointed 2 bedroom house off Hwy 121 on hwy 78. your views include forest in the back, sunny fields in the front. The home contains a fully stocked kitchen, a laundry room with washer/dryer, 2 large bedrooms (queen and full beds) and a cozy living room. Flower gardens around the home bloom most of the spring through fall. A tower outside the house ensures good WIFI for work or to enjoy movies! The space 1080 square foot metal building on 8 acres set to the back of the property shielded from the hosts by a garden and various plants. The butterfly garden near the front porch are a peaceful view from the porch rocking chairs. Two large bedrooms offer dressers, closets, and luggage racks. I leave a sealed bottle of water on the bedside table next to the tissue box and table lamp. The bathroom is stocked with fluffy towels and basic amenities. A full kitchen is stocked with all the kitchen basics, coffee/tea/hot chocolate and a fresh baked treat upon your arrival! I Please avail yourself to the coffee bar and provided snacks. A cozy living room has oversized loveseat and chair. 2 c-shaped end tables double as worksurface or TV trays. The laundry room has a full sized washer/dryer it's tiled and has a doggy door opening to a fenced backyard and small bricked patio. PLEASE NOTE: We are close to forest. this means occasional visits from forest dwellers; deer, owls, rabbits, coyotes, bobcat or snakes. Keep an eye on your little dogs. If you see a copperhead contact me immediately Guest access You will have access to the house, the fenced backyard, and driveway. You are welcome to walk the mowed trail around the property but please leash your dog. Bug spray provided and recommended. The owners are on property so please respect our privacy - the pole barn, rock faced house (at the front of the property) and pool are private. Other things to note At Sparrow Nest we respect diversity and inclusion. Please let me know how you would like to be addressed and if I inadvertently offend you it is not intentional and I would appreciate if you tell me so I can do better. I am on the property so please observe quiet hours (though driving past our house is not an issue). Please do not hesitate to contact me with any issues or concerns. If you want to use the fire bowl and additional lawn chairs (there are 2 out back and two more in the laundry room), baby gates, an extra airbed with linens/pillows (or another common household item I might have forgotten) please let me know and I will try to ensure they are there upon your arrival. Please note: I work hard to treat for fire ants, chiggers, and other critters, but it is Texas country - they keep coming. If you walk in the field in the summer I recommend bug spray (available in the laundry room by the door and in the bucket under the table on the porch).
