The space The Bedpost, formerly part of Forest Green’s village post office and general stores, is well situated in the centre of the village. It is next to the church and overlooks the village green and cricket ground, where you would be very welcome in the summer months to join the villagers for a Friday night drink before an excellent dinner at the very popular Parrot pub. The Bedpost is a new space finished to a very high standard, with lots of thoughtful touches to make your stay more comfortable including luxury Soak and Sleep bedding and large fluffy bath towels. The kitchenette has a kettle, microwave, toaster, mini fridge and Nespresso coffee maker with biodegradable Grind coffee pods. If you are feeling peckish help yourself to a snack from the jar. There is a smart TV you can watch from the sofa or the king size bed. The dedicated WiFi network provides a strong, secure and reliable connection. For your convenience we have a very secure bike store and bike washing facilities. We also have an electric vehicle charger payable by an app. The local area Forest Green is a pretty village, with a beautiful open sky. It is very historic with many examples of architecture through the centuries. It sits at the base of Leith Hill and Holmbury Hill in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its miles of footpaths and bridleways make it an ideal place for exploring, or visiting some local attractions. Leith Hill tower, Leith Hill Place and rhododendron woods, and the Hannah Peschar sculpture garden are all within walking distance. For road cycling and mountain biking enthusiasts, we have miles of iconic riding and trails - including Leith Hill Lane and the famous Box Hill zigzag - on the doorstep. We are also an easy 40 minute drive from Gatwick and an hour from Heathrow. Guest access The Bedpost is yours to use and enjoy, including the secure bicycle storage. There is an outdoor table and chairs. There is parking for one car on the drive immediately outside the door with an EV charging point.
