The Magical Lake House lives up to its name, lakefront on Lake Hartwell, SC. It is secluded on a few acres with panoramic views. Imagine watching the sunset on the dock with fireflies in the night. Followed by deer sightings through the surrounding forest as you have a real wood-burning fire on the back porch - it’s magical. 150 waterfalls/trails in the county, the fishing is epic off the dock! This home is spacious! Deep cleaned! Unfortunately we no longer allow dogs. The space Welcome to The Magical Lake House! For years my husband and I have looked for a lake house that our five kids and I could enjoy but also a place we could rent out for football games, family retreats, or even a couples’ getaway. Our one requirement – it needed to be Magical. A breathtaking view, on the lake, a dock, privacy, a retreat, lake home that felt like it was in a forest, spacious, two floors – our list was long. Welcome to The Magical Lake House! You will find all of the above and so much more. When you sit on the back porch of the house overlooking the lake, you cannot see the homes on either side because of the tall, beautiful trees surrounding the property – check! Watching the sun go down on the deck, followed by deer walking the property and lightning bugs – check! I want to keep some aspects of the property a surprise, but it is safe to say that this home will leave you wanting to book your next trip back. Prepare your hearts, guests! Please, no smoking inside the home. Guest access The Entire House. There will be a keypad lock and a code given to you before check-in. We are not local but have a local friend who is helping us. If you would like her to meet you at check-in just let me know and I will connect you to her before arrival. Note: one room is locked for storage of our personal belongings. Just a short 30-minute drive to the Clemson University stadium makes this the perfect home for football season. Enjoy The Magical Lake House with some friends, then head over to the stadium and show support for the National Champions or watch the game on one of the 75-inch TV’s we offer. If football isn’t your thing, do not worry, the spacious layout and five bedrooms make it perfect for a family vacation. My boys love jumping in the lake to swim, fishing off the dock, scootering on our private road, catching fireflies and watching deer go by. The views all around the house are the best you will find, and almost every bedroom has a window with a beautiful view of the lake or the surrounding forest of woods. The screened-in balcony with fireplace is my all-time favorite spot in the house; I enjoy sipping a cup of tea (I am Scottish born and raised after all) while the fire is burning, and the sun is setting. The downstairs porch and seating area are perfect for outdoor eating and drinks, you could even enjoy a good book on the couch. Whatever your interests are, The Magical Lake House will accommodate, from football game weekends with friends, to an afternoon swimming and enjoying water sports in the lake. My family and I love our home and every adventure that comes with staying here. The magic of the house will leave you refreshed, happy, relaxed and ready to come back for another visit! Come during winter time and you will experience the true beauty of orange and red leaves or even a little snow if you come at the right time of year.
