Kolkata Stop - a cozy 2BHK home in North Kolkata

In the heart of North Kolkata - an intimate, cozy home that we have specially curated for lovers of old cities and authentic local culture. The home shares its boundaries with the famous "Pareshnath Temple" - a Jain sacred destination. You will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place within the city, conveniently accessible from railway stations and the airport. A spacious home, with modern amenities makes this a perfect getaway. Welcome to the Kolkata Stop! The space This a tastefully redone 2BHK flat on the ground floor of our ancestral home - located in Badridas Temple Street, the heart of North Kolkata. The aesthetics are minimal, leaving open spaces and ample light and ventilation. There are two completely private bedrooms with one common washroom. Both the bedrooms are air-conditioned. The bedrooms are fully equipped for your stay. Please note that the hall and the kitchen are not air-conditioned. You will enter through a private access into the main living and dining area. A beautiful wooden screen separates an open kitchen from this space. The access to the washroom is also through this space. For accessing the smaller bedroom, located on the mezzanine - you will have to climb a short flight of stairs located within the apartment. The apartment also has a private veranda opening towards the street. The kitchen is fully equipped for a family of four with cooking appliances (gas stove, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, cups and glasses and enough crockery and cutlery to ensure a comfortable cooking experience. There is a geyser for hot water to both the toilet and the kitchen sink. There is also a refrigerator and an Aquaguard. The home has fast, stable 125 Mbps internet and a smart TV. There is a dedicated workspace in the bigger bedroom in case you want to get some work done during your stay. * What to expect: An Airbnb is a self-service experience so please do not expect hotel amenities at the place. You are expected to manage your own cooking/cleaning, and to keep the general place clean. We have a caretaker to organize daily cleaning and dusting of the house. We will provide you fresh linens, towels, etc every 3 days. ** Rooftop Access: We have a beautiful rooftop overlooking the Pareshnath temple next door. This is accessible only from 10 am till 6 pm in the evening (please coordinate with the caretaker). A washing machine is installed, also on the rooftop and case be accessed by you during this time. *** The place is designed to be a minimum contact stay - we are always available on phone to solve any difficulties and make sure you have a wonderful time at the Kolkata Stop. The caretaker stays on premises and will also be reasonably available for your queries. NOTE: NO PARTIES/EVENTS Guest access The apartment occupies the ground floor of our house in Badridas Temple Street, Manicktala, Kolkata. This is an old Kolkata neighborhood. Guests will have a private access to the apartment and their own set of keys to come and go as they please. The access to the roof is via a common staircase - there is no lift so you have to climb two floors (10 am - 6 pm). The apartment also has a private veranda opening towards the street. All the old 'paras' (neighborhoods) are close to this area - Kumartuli, Shyambazaar, Hatibagan, Shovabazaar, Chitpur, Jorasanko, etc. Though in a small lane, the house is in a well connected area - near Maniktala.
