The space Important Requirements & Restrictions to Know: 4x4 Vehicle or Equivalent Required: The road to the retreat is rugged. A four-wheel-drive car, moped, or 4WD quad bike is necessary to access the property. Rainforest Living: Expect to see monkeys, birds, butterflies, and other wildlife, as well as occasional bugs or critters. 20 Minutes to Town/Beaches: The retreat offers peaceful seclusion in nature, but Puerto Viejo and the beaches are just a 20-minute drive away. Walking Ability: The bungalows are located 50m to 150m from the parking area and require walking on uneven terrain and climbing stairs. Guests should be fit enough to manage this. No Kitchen: This bungalow does not include kitchen amenities. But breakfast & dinner are available in our restaurant 6 days a week. Eco-Cooling Design: No air conditioning - screens instead of windows designed to encourage airflow, and the Rainforest’s natural climate is about 10°F cooler than nearby Puerto Viejo.
