Grand Canyon West - Cozy Trailer - Near Skywalk
Description
Enjoy the beauty surrounding a historic getaway. Mount Dellenbagh at 7,075 feet in elevation and the Grand Canyon West Rim is the east view of your campsite situated at 5,500 feet elevation above Meadview on the famous GRAND WASH CLIFFS. Mount Dellenbagh is known for being the mountain that William Dunn and the Howland brothers climbed after deserting Powell's first expedition in 1869. More world class, one-of-a-kind views are within 1/2 mile of the campsite. High adventure awaits you! The space This is an off-grid location. Power is solar and generator. There is well water supplied to the Cozy Trailer kitchen sink and the sink in the separate outhouse (no flush toilet yet). Bring your own water for drinking water. Plenty of parking for your vehicles and any toys you bring out. Owner is Mark Grove who lives on-site with tools, emergency supplies, first aid kit, and phone and internet capabilities. The entire property is a working horse ranch of about 15 acres. You can bring your own horses who can share the stall and fenced in meadow with my two horses....Reba and Lola. My dog "Blue" is super friendly to people and other dogs, although she has her own fenced in area. Guest access Since this is a high mountain desert area at almost 6,000 feet in elevation and it takes 45 minutes from Meadview Arizona to get here; I have a suggestion for new guests. Contact me an hour ahead of when you pass through Dolan Springs or Kingman and I will meet you on mile 13 of the Diamond Bar road to escort you the last 7 miles in. Mile 13 is a couple of blocks west of the WORLDS FAMOUS HUALAPAI SKYWALK entrance. There's a lot of twists and turns and even some of the locals get lost up here and I can guide you in (might have to buy me a beer...lol). Other things to note The on-site owner, Mark Grove, is originally from Minnesota. Graduated from college at St. Cloud State University. Lived in the mountains of California, Nevada, Colorado and Wyoming, and I enjoy many sports and outdoor activities. I know the challenges my guests will be facing as they visit my mountain and I am there to help you, if needed, to make sure you are able to enjoy a world class adventure. I respect your privacy and only ask that you make sure to "have a little fun out here". No rules per se, just common sense and be careful...(there are critters and snakes)
