De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? This is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, which was formerly a forge but has been completely renovated into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach. The space You enter the house through the backyard. This consists of a spacious cozy living room with a wood stove, TV, comfortable chairs and sofa. A well-equipped kitchen with a Smeg induction cooktop with oven, a dining table with 6 chairs. A utility room with washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. In the utility room is also the bathroom with walk-in shower and vanity and a separate toilet. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, both bedrooms have 2 box spring beds (90x210) Guest access The vacation home has its own entrance, its own free fenced garden (behind the house) with various seats/terrace and its own parking space in front of the house. Other things to note We rent the house for a minimum of 3 nights and do not serve breakfast. In the village there is a Spar (with breakfast service) and a cafeteria. In Witmarsum (4 km) there is a large garden center with a restaurant and an outdoor swimming pool. And at Pizzeria Pingjum (4 km) you can eat the super tasty pizzas and also pick them up. Harlingen (8 km), Franeker (10 km) Bolsward (8 km), Makkum (12 km), Leeuwarden (30 km) are easily accessible by car or bicycle.
