Forest Ranger's House–Authentic Lappish atmosphere

House is located 5 km from the center of Äkäslompolo in the beautiful Lapland countryside and belongs to the Kuoppa´s farm. Here you can experience the authentic Lapland atmosphere. The house has an area of 127 square meter and can accommodate six people. It is best suited for 1-2 couples, a family, or a small group of friends. For an additional fee and advance booking, we offer breakfast at Cafe & Butik for €15/person and traditional reindeer roast from our own kitchen for €25/person. The space The Forester’s House offers a cozy environment for both adults and children. A wide range of outdoor trails are located nearby, enabling active and varied leisure activities throughout the year. Fast internet access also makes remote working smooth and pleasant. The courtyard is home to Cafe & Butik Kuopan Tila, which combines a cozy café with an inspiring interior design and lifestyle store. In the café, you can enjoy delicious pastries and a leisurely moment, and in the boutique, you will find carefully selected, high-quality products – furniture, interior design items, accessories, and jewelry, complemented by seasonal fashion. The spacious courtyard offers space for yard games and relaxed socializing. In the courtyard, you will also find a traditional wood-fired log sauna, where you can relax at the end of the day in the gentle heat. The clear natural spring invites you to refresh yourself all year round. For an additional fee, we offer breakfast at €15/person at Cafe & Butik, as well as traditional reindeer roast from our own kitchen, available by advance order, at €25/person. Guests have access to a wide range of equipment for outdoor activities and winter sports – four pairs of OAC snowshoes, sleds, toboggans, kick sleds, and other equipment suitable for yard games, ensuring fun for all ages. There is also an electric car charging station in the yard. Guest access Guests have access to the entire Forest Ranger´s House, outdoor equipment storage with equipment for outdoor activities, such as sleds, toboggans, and a yard that offers plenty of space for outdoor activities and socializing. The rental includes an initial supply of firewood for the cottage. Please note that additional firewood is available for a small fee. The yard sauna is shared with other tenants of the Kuoppa´s farm. When you make your reservation, you will receive comprehensive instructions that all guests must read before arrival. The instructions include clear advice on arrival, accommodation, and safe stay at Forest Rangers House. Other things to note Please note that a stay in Lapland is weather-dependent. Snow, cold temperatures, or other weather conditions may affect your visit and outdoor activities. Be sure to pack warm clothing and appropriate gear according to the forecast.
