Our Mountain Retreat

Relax at our Mountain Retreat, with an Aussie flair, a private 1 bedroom downstairs apartment - a peaceful place to stay. Beautiful mountain views, one king size bed, sitting room, shower, full kitchen, private combination lock entrance. Easy access to Erwin TN, local shopping and dining, along Appalachian Trail, fishing, rafting, hiking, in the beautiful East Tennessee mountains. Fabulous waterfalls and lakes nearby. Pet friendly - dogs welcomed. No cats as owners are allergic. The space Our property is a a downstairs apartment in a brick rancher. It sits on a half acre lot with mountain views in a county neighborhood. We are surrounded by Cherokee National Forest and animals will occasionally run through the property as it is not fenced and there are no leash laws in the county. We are near the Appalachian Trail and Nolichucky River so the location is good for hikers., rafting, waterfall side trips, and fishing. Simple 20 minute drive NE to Rock Creek Recreation area; easy and moderate hikes by rushing creek/waterfall, and swimming hole with access to longer hikes in Unaka Wilderness. About 30 minutes to Buffalo Mountain State Park south of Johnson City w/multiple moderate to strenuous hikes and lots of picnic areas (also many good restaurants in JC). About 40 minutes to Roan Mountain State Park. Nice green-way on the river in Erwin for early evening stroll after dinner and day of hiking. I like to meet and greet my guests, show them the unit, and leave them to their stay. Guest access is limited to the downstairs apartment and use of the back yard for your pet, etc. I'm available if needed and can be contacted by messaging in the Air B&B app
