Description
The villa, which belonged to the painter Gino Guida and his wife Licia, is an oasis of art and nature. Immersed in a context of absolute tranquility, it offers an ideal family atmosphere to relax. Guests can enjoy the pool, stroll through the woods, read a book in front of the fireplace, or swing on the hammocks in the flower garden. The place is serene and full of peace. We, Silvia and Francesco, also live in the house, along with our cats, and we are committed to making you feel at home. We love meeting travelers from all places and cultures, and we want them to feel at home during their stay. The space The house is spread across three floors, offering ample space and comfort for families or groups of friends. On the ground floor, common areas include two living rooms, a dining area, a kitchen, and a washing machine. In addition, there is a living room separated from the rest of the house by a door, ideal for private moments of relaxation. The first floor houses the main room and Francesco's room, along with two additional rooms. One of these is equipped with an ensuite bathroom, while the other has an external bathroom but for exclusive use. These rooms are connected by a long corridor, which offers the possibility of separating one of the rooms through a door, creating a private and quiet environment. The top floor is dedicated to a single room, which boasts a private terrace and an ensuite bathroom, perfect for those looking for an exclusive retreat. The layout of the rooms on the second and first floors, with the possibility of separation via a staircase and a door in the hallway, makes the house particularly suitable for families with children or groups of friends who want privacy and flexibility in the living spaces. Guest access Guests have access to all common areas, including the dining area, kitchen, living rooms, and the outdoor area with a swimming pool, garden, hammocks, barbecue, and outdoor tables. Free use of the pool, house, and garden is encouraged, with the only condition of respecting the tranquility and stay of all, especially at certain times, such as after lunch and after 11 p.m. The kitchen is available to everyone, with the rule of leaving it clean for other guests. My partner Francesco and I also live in the house, along with our cats. We respect guests' privacy, but we are available for information, advice, and, if you like, for a chat over a glass of wine or coffee. We love to share spaces and create an atmosphere of conviviality among all those present. However, the house and the exterior are large enough to guarantee those who want their own privacy and personal space. During your stay My partner Francesco and I also live in the house, in addition to our cats. We are absolutely respectful of guests' privacy, but we are always available to provide information, advice and, if desired, to chat over a glass of wine or coffee. We love to share spaces with our guests and create an atmosphere of sharing among all the people in the house. However, the house and the exterior are large enough to guarantee all those who want their own privacy and space. Other things to note The house is located on the hills of Zagarolo, about 5 km from the village and 7 km from the station, and is an excellent base for exploring the surroundings rich in history and nature. In half an hour by car you can reach enchanting and historical places such as Tivoli with its UNESCO heritage villas, Palestrina, the Castelli Romani, while the ruins of Ostia Antica are about an hour away. With a comfortable train, always in half an hour, you can get to the center of Rome and return in time to enjoy one of the wonderful sunsets. The villa is not served by public transport, with the nearest stop about 3 km away, but we offer a pick-up service to and from Zagarolo station on the day of arrival and departure for guests without a car. Those arriving by car can park inside. Although Rome is easily accessible by train, we strongly recommend the use of a car to visit the wonderful places in the surroundings, as many are also accessible by public transport but with longer travel times. We love to share spaces with our guests, creating an atmosphere of sharing, but the house and the outside are large enough to guarantee privacy and personal space to those who want it. Everyone can enjoy the pool, the house and the garden freely, respecting the peace and the stay of all, especially at certain times, after lunch and after 11 p.m. The kitchen is available to everyone, with the rule of leaving it clean for those who will use it later.
