Gääschi Leis - the jewel above the mountain village of Vals In a unique, quiet location, a small, charming cottage was created by loving architecture from an old stable, which combines the original simplicity with luxurious amenities to a true gem. Other things to note Gääschi means "small old house" in the Valserdialekt. Our guesthouse is also a small old house, or a small old stable, which we have expanded into a small gem with a lot of love and simple materials. If you are looking for a special but luxurious little cottage in Leis and know how to deal with a lovingly furnished home, then you have come to the right place with us. Immediately next to the Zumthor vacation homes sunny location with views down to the village of Vals, the Gääschi Leis is the perfect starting point for hikes, especially the popular winter and summer hike to Zervreila. Located directly at the valley run, you can also reach us directly from the ski resort in good snow conditions in winter. The Gääschi can accommodate 2-4 people. It is an ideal home for 2 adults or parents with their teenage children (only partially suitable for infants due to the steep stairs.) For a shorter rental period or somewhat limited space, there is also an occupancy of max. 4 adults possible. The larger bedroom in the basement is equipped with a double bed (160x200cm) and a large built-in wardrobe. In the smaller room in the basement, there is a high-quality stacking lounger of the period, which can be used both as a sofa to linger and as two full-fledged single beds (90x200cm each). This room is ideal for 1-2 persons. Furthermore, the small bedroom is equipped with a small antique dresser for writing, reading or working. On the basement there is also the separate small toilet as well as the bathroom in Valser natural stone with a large comfortable shower, which can be used at the touch of a button as a wonderful steam shower to relax and warm up. Toilet and shower are equipped with underfloor heating. Furthermore, you will find a small basement room with washing machine/dryer in the basement. The automatic Rika Pelletofen is located in front of the basement room and is responsible for cozy warmth throughout the guest. A steep and narrow staircase (less suitable for small children or frail people due to limited space conditions) leads to the bright living space open to the roof. Here you will find a wonderful upholstered sitting alcove with magnificent views to read, cuddle and relax. Two comfortable rotating armchairs offer additional seating. The rustic kitchen table with forest designer chairs can accommodate up to six people. The small but modern and well-equipped kitchen (dishwasher, combi steamer, Nespresso coffee maker, fondue caquelon, raclette oven) offers all the conditions for the culinary pampering program. Valser mineral water as well as Nespresso coffee are included. The living room has a small fine balcony with fantastic views as an extra nice extra. On dark winter evenings, the scandia cheminee oven, kept in black steel, can also be manually fired up. The crackling wood and the flickering light of the fire contribute to the unique cabin romance. A TV with Swisscom TV, landline phone, wireless internet as well as the Sonos music system throughout the house as well as an I-pad for free use are part of the equipment. During construction, care was taken to use local materials. This is how mainly spruce wood was installed. Rooms in the basement have a larch floor. The toilet and bathroom are of course kept in local Valser quartzite. And the stone slabs on the roof are a must in Vals anyway. On the upper floor, in addition to the constructive elements of spruce, a lot of fragrant and healthy pine wood was used.
