Ioulida or Chora is located 5 km from the port of the island, Korissia. It is built amphitheatrically on the sides of two hills overlooking the Aegean Sea. It is a protected settlement, as it is built on the ruins of the homonymous ancient city. Please note the property is located on a traditional small street of Chora and its not accessible by car only on foot. Also you need to climb 25-30 steps to reach the entrance. Other things to note In Ioulida is the most important attraction of the island, Leo, an archaic 6th century statue, 8 meters long glued to a rock. Don't forget to visit the Archaeological Museum of Kea with remarkable exhibits of the island. Its eblem is the famous ancient lion, a sclupture that decorates the village since ancient times.
