Description

Enjoy your stay in our own standalone bungalow. Located within the property of Salty Lodge Samoa. The bungalow offers 1 x queen size bed, AC, ceiling fan, ensuite style bathroom with gas hot water and all bathroom amenities, tea/coffee making facilites & bar fridge. This listing is for Bed & Breakfast. A cooked breakfast is served between 7am and 10am. Wifi is not included in this special transit stay rate. The space Life can get pretty noisey, full of deadlines and the day to day pressures of life. Nestled within the village environment of Mulifanua, Karleen and Derek have worked to create a space to simply slow down, relax and just take some time out to 'breathe'. Whilst we are not a resort, we are a small family-run lodge committed to offering restful, respectful stays grounded in our Christian values of kindness, service and integrity. Whether you're stopping by for a couple of nights or staying a while, we'd love to host you at our place - a quiet, coastal village lodge (chickens and roosters included), with a heart of hospitality. We offer a mix of Oceanview Hotel style rooms, and private standalone Garden Bungalows, each clean and fully equipped with all the essentials. While we are not a luxury resort, we take great care in maintaining a friendly, peaceful and restful environment - one that reflects our Christian values of hospitality, care and respect for others. Our lodge is best suited to adults, couples, solo travelers and small friend groups looking to relax. While families are welcome, please note that our atmosphere is quiet and more tailored to adult guests. There is a guest lounge for guests to relax in outside of their room. We welcome you to experience our everyday lifestyle, nestled within a village environment with the ocean immediately across the road. We hope that your stay at Salty Lodge allows you to feel like you are at home, in a relaxed village homestead environment. We look forward to welcoming you. Guest access Check in is from 2.00pm, check out is before 10.30am. Early or late check out is subject to availability at time of check in, and do incur an additional charge. We aim to provide a peaceful environment, so we may not be the best fit for active children. Children over the age of 12 years are most welcome. (From 1 January 2026 Salty Lodge will only accommodation children over the age of 12 years in certain room categories) Salty Lodge does not sell alcohol but guests are welcome to enjoy a quiet BYO drink with their meal, or within their own room. We will not allow loud or intoxicated behaviour, or behaviour deemed disruptive to other guests. The on duty manager or owner has the right to ask you to leave. Guest capacity in each room is based on the number of paid registered guests. We do not allow unregistered guests to sleep in the rooms or use the room amenities. We ask that all visitors register at reception. All our rooms are non smoking. Early Arrival & Late Departure Policy As a small, quiet lodge, our shared spaces are reserved for current guests only. To ensure comfort for all guests, we ask that the property and shared spaces are only used during your booked stay. Thank you for helping us maintain a peaceful and comfortable environment for everyone. To ensure the comfort and smooth experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that the following policy be respected regarding early arrivals and late departures: Check-In & Check-Out Times • Check-in: From 2:00 PM • Check-out: By 10:30 AM Early Arrivals • Guests are welcome to arrive at Salty Lodge after 12-midday on the day of their check in, however check in is from 2:00PM. • Guests arriving before check-in time are welcome to store luggage at reception, subject to space availability. • Guests are welcome to use the visitor’s bathroom located in the guest lounge, however access to the other lodge facilities and amenities is not available until after 2:00PM. • Guests are welcome to enjoy a bite to eat or cool refreshing drink from our reception area during their wait. • Early check-in to the room is available only if the room is ready, and may be subject to an additional fee. This will be at the discretion of the on-duty manager. Late Departures • After check-out at 10:30 AM, guests may store luggage at reception until 12:30 PM (free of charge). • Staying on the premises beyond 1:00 PM is not permitted unless a late check-out has been pre-arranged (subject to availability and a fee). • A late check can be arranged, but is subject to room availability. There is an hourly late check out charge of 50tala per hour. Should the room be required past 4:00PM a full days room rate will apply. Thank you for understanding. Our lodge operates with limited space and staff, and we appreciate your understanding in respecting check-in and check-out times. This helps our housekeeping team prepare rooms in time for incoming guests, and most importantly the comfort and enjoyment of our inhouse guests. If you have special travel timing needs, please let us know in advance — we’ll do our best to assist within our capacity. During your stay Our reception is open from 6am to 9pm at night. After these hours we have security on duty. You will be greeted by a team member with your room key. We are a small team, so you will get to know our team very quickly. We have an onsite manager, her name is Fetalai. (Feta for short) Should you experience any issues with your room, please do let us know immediately so we can address any concerns. Other things to note Salty Lodge does not sell alcohol. Sorry no children under 12 years of age in our Oceanview Hotel Style rooms. NOTE: As from 1 January 2026 we will only accommodate guests over the age of 12 years in all rooms. Dining at Salty Lodge Salty Lodge is a privately owned lodge operated by a small, dedicated team. Our services reflect both the scale of our operation and the rhythm of Samoa, with a bustling peak tourism season and a quieter off-peak season. We share this openly so guests can plan their stay with confidence, while we focus on providing a relaxed, welcoming, and memorable experience for everyone who visits. ________________________________________ Breakfast • Available only when booked with your room. • Guests staying two nights or more have access to our communal kitchen facilities, providing the flexibility to self-cater for breakfast and dinner. ________________________________________ Dinner Service Peak Season (1 April – 31 October) • Upgrade your stay with our Half Board option, which includes: o Accommodation o Breakfast o A delicious two-course dinner • Alternatively, our dinner menu is available for pre-order. Off-Peak Season (1 November – 31 March) • Dinner is available by pre-order only for groups of four or more guests. • Pre-order a light dinner plate. This is prepared fresh, and left in your room to enjoy at your leisure in the evenings. ________________________________________ Communal Kitchen Facilities Guests staying two nights or more have access to our communal kitchen facilities, providing the flexibility to self-cater for breakfast and dinner. ________________________________________ Late Arrivals Arriving after 7:00 pm?
