Island Pond is the snowmobile capital of the North East Kingdom as well as prime area to access the VASA trail system for ATV riding. Multiple trail access is available right from the property. Ride your snowmobiles into town and enjoy riding on the lake. There you can access many of the VAST trails that Vermont has to offer. Only 20 minutes from Burke Mountain where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter months, and mountain biking and hiking in the spring and summer. Jay Peak is about 45 minutes away, another great mountain for skiing, snowboarding and also has an indoor water park. Sit on the Patio deck and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate while enjoying the spectacular views. You might even catch a glimpse of the white tail deer, black bear and turkeys that roam the property. There is a trail that goes to the top of the mountain that overlooks the entire town of Island Pond. Great for Hiking, There is a walkout basement that leads to the rear of the house where you can park your snowmobiles under the patio deck. Also a 16x20 secured storage shed for your snow machines and Atvs. A fire pit was just added with seating in back of the house. Extra camping chairs in basement. You can even enjoy sledding right in the front yard. Plenty of room for entire family that sleeps nine with 5 beds. There is also a queen size blowup mattress should you need extra sleeping space for your family members. The downstairs has a private bedroom and full bathroom along with a game room. There is a ping pong table, foos-ball table, dart board and ring toss game horseshoes, and bean bag toss. A second family room is also located down stairs with another tv, with dvd/vhs player with penty of movies available. The town of Island Pond is home to a 600 acre lake, great for fishing,and boating. There is a beautiful beach area with pavilions grills, and restrooms. Enjoy swimming , paddle boarding and kayaking. There is also a 22 acre island in the middle of the lake that you can go exploring on. Guest access Guest will have access to the whole cabin and property except the owners private storage room located in the basement. Other things to note To access the cabin in the winter months you will need an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicle. The driveway is plowed during winter, make sure when parking leave space for the plow to get around the property. Should you have an issue you can contact Ray next door to help you out of a jam. He has multiple 4 wheel drive vehicles and tractor.
