Minnibilla Farmstay

A perfect escape for families, small groups, or couples looking for a weekend getaway. Breathe in the fresh country air as you explore our peaceful property - home to friendly donkeys, alpacas, sheep, chickens & ducks. Wander through the fruit & veggie gardens, & have a splash around in the creek that winds its way through the property. Two bedrooms are located in the main cottage & Bedroom 3 is in our Bunkhouse. Camping may also be available for an additional fee. Contact host for more details. The space Our property is a work-in-progress. We are establishing it for farmstay rentals with improvements happening constantly. The main home is very comfortable and has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a queen bed and a set of bunks. There is a double fold-out couch in the living room and a rollaway bed if required. There is a bathroom with a shower and a separate bath in another room. There is a flushing toilet inside with a neat and clean "drop-toilet" outside. Approximately 20 metres from the house is our Bunkhouse - featuring a queen bed and a set of bunks. For an additional fee, there is ample space for camping, tents, camper trailers or caravans near the house - unpowered camping only. A glamping-style bell tent is also able to be booked on request. The property is entirely off-grid, with solar charging the battery system and tanks filled with rain and bore water. Phone and internet reception is available, but only via our Starlink service. Code will be provided on check in. A fire pit is available & combined with our fairy lights, makes for magical evenings filled with ambience. Our animals can be hand-fed and are friendly but we prefer people not enter their paddocks for their own safety. The chicken coop can be entered and eggs collected - most of the chooks are friendly and can be patted. We have a greenhouse and fruit and vegetable garden featuring more than 70 species of edible plants - if there are seasonal fruit, vegetables or herbs available, you are more than welcome to help yourselves! Our creek winds through the property & is a great place to explore or hang out. Our favourite spot is ‘Minnibillabong’ which is shallow for the little ones, but deep enough to cool off during warm weather. Water level is dependent on the season & subsides quickly. It is a reasonably large property that requires regular upkeep by your hosts and there may be times when the grass is longer than usual or there may be trees or branches on the ground. Please be wary of snakes and spiders. Other things to note There is a fire extinguisher and first aid kit (including snake bite kit) included with the rental. Security Cameras are present. Minimum 3 night stay on Public Holiday long weekends.
