The name, “Le Viron”, means a short stroll. This attractive family house, in the heart of the Côte Roannaise wine-growing region (part of the Route des Vins), is perfectly located for exploring the wider area, or simply for relaxing in authentic surroundings. The outside grounds can be enjoyed as soon as Spring makes its presence felt. Guests can also make full use of the barn*, now converted into a games room with table football, darts and more - perfect for the long summer evenings. The space We have put all our creative energy and enthusiasm into renovating and furnishing this charming property, creating relaxing and convivial holiday accommodation in which our guests can fully enjoy their stay. (the furnishing stage still being completed, more photographs will be added over time, including pictures of the dining room) The house is closed plan, and consists of: a living room, a dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 separate WCs, 1 WC in the first-floor bathroom, a storeroom and external spaces. The sleeping area is composed of three bedrooms: one on the ground floor and two on the 1st floor, which together can sleep up to 10 people, depending on the configuration of the group (and more specifically, 9 adults and 1 child). The ideal choice for holidaying families or friendship groups. Bedroom n°1 / ground floor 1 x 160cm double bed, with ensuite bathroom and shower. Bedroom n°2 / 1st floor 1 x 140cm double bed, 1 x 90cm single bed. Bedroom n°3 “The Dormitory” / 1st floor 4 x 80cm single beds, and 1 x child’s cabin bed (70x160cm) the single beds can be put together to form doubles. (We cannot provide a cot). The bedrooms on the 1st floor share a bathroom, with shower and WC. The living room is equipped with a wood-burner and a television. Board games and books are also provided for guests’ entertainment. The dining room is large enough to seat up to 10 people, with direct access from the kitchen. The kitchen comes equipped with two coffee makers (filter and Nespresso pods), a kettle, an oven, an induction hob, a dishwasher and a refrigerator. The storeroom contains a washing machine, an extra refrigerator with a freezer compartment and an area in which to store your groceries. Guest access The entire house is at the disposition of guests, as is the terrace, the courtyard and the barn Other things to note The house is located only 2km from shops, local producers, and wine-growing estates. There are plenty of amenities in nearby Renaison: a produce market, a covered market with an artisan butcher, fishmonger, a MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France, or Best Craftsman of France) cheesemaker from Maison MONS, a PRALUS chocolate maker (also selling Praluline, a local delicacy from Roanne, consisting of brioche infused with rose sugar-coated pralines), a greengrocer, an organic produce supplier, cafés with terraces, and of course, restaurants. We would be more than happy to provide you with our recommendations for restaurants and activities – the Roannaise region is simply packed with delights to discover! Renaison can be reached on foot from the house, as can the characterful village of St Haon le Chatel. For guests more interested in physical or cultural activities, the “Roannais Tourisme” website contains all the information you could possibly need on the area. We also provide plenty of tourist information literature at the property.
